Read the link in Post #10! Why is it so difficult. I am not hiding a secret and I did not tell the others who just ordered it or sent Mr. Sanjay an email

I have been using Collinite 845 wax together with Collinite Sapphire Leather and Vinyl wax (for interior detailing) for quite some time now. Usually get them from folks heading to US. Last time I ordered from Amazon both of them together cost me some 1200 bucks. IMO good that they launched it here. And the price is decent too.

No doubt about the effectiveness of the products. They are simply excellent. Even after 6 months of waxing the car retains its shine. Collinite says the 845 is good for a year. I usually wax at 6-8 months interval.

The package was delivered yesterday. Will have to wait till the weekend (and the rains to subside) for me to wash the car and then wax it.

The child-proof cap on the bottle in the package was taped down. It looked like that was done to accidentally prevent the liquid from spilling in transit. However, the cap was 'open', as in there was no seal snapping when I tried to open it. Wonder why!

Thats wierd, a wild guess is the product is shipped by Air; the airline check may have tampered with the seal. I hope you didn't loose any volume from the container.
Nevertheless I suggest you should write Sanjay and ask for clarification.

Did not lose any volume, but not sure if the consistency may have been tampered with. It is fairly fluid in terms of consistency and I would not know if some the original was siphoned off and a solvent/useless additive added to make up for the volume. I'll talk to Sanjay.

^That kinda sounds scary! I hope its not the case!

btw after applying it I forgot to soak the sponge applicator pad that I use!
had a hard time cleaning it up later on! (wax was adhered to the sponge)

Also some wax had spilled on the bottle and it solidified like crazy! lol!

Guys do post some before and after shots. I have also ordered the same as I currently use a Turtle wax and it doesnt last too long. I have to use it at least once a month! Hopefully this will of help.

also, guys what should be the consistency of the wax? Like the turtle wax which is quite a thick liquid?

I have always bought my collinite from US. It does not come with a tamper proof seal but only a child proof one !!. After a 10 min vigorous shake the consistency should be like an oily liquid.Unlikely anyone would adulterate it.

Saw sohail's post about his difficulty to remove the wax from the pads. That is how it should be. Immediately after you finish while the pad is still wet immerse it into warm water for a while for the wax to separate. If you let it dry, the pad will be done.
