Yes, that's the plan. I've been too busy to sort out a few unrelated things with my car, so it should happen once it's all done.

Got a freeflow exhaust. That was quite a few full moons ago though.

Car sounds great and looks quick. There seems to be some sound just before you start accelerating after changing gear or retarding. Is the engine running rich fuel mix?

Yes, the engine is running rich right now, though that's only because I'm tuning it and it's in open-loop. The ECU will automatically decrease injector pulses once I put it into closed-loop. As for the sound, that's because I recorded it using my cellphone camera and it didn't seem to pick up sounds properly. There are quite a few things which seem to be recorded at a different level altogether. In reality, the car sounds a lot meatier than this, and dare I say it, almost like a B16/B18. There's still a lot to be extracted from the current configuration. Today was just a shakedown run for an hour or so, and the meat of the fuel/ign tuning and various other things like battery offsets and fuel/ign corrections are still to be done. Time, sadly, is a scarcity and that's what keeps delaying everything, though I aim to get done with this in the next week or so.

So I'm opening up my engine for head work and putting in the Y8 cam that I have lying around. I'm planning to go for an aftermarket head gasket, preferably a Fel-pro. Would anyone know if they're sold in India? Any other brand apart from OEM and cheap Chinese knock-offs? And if not, would anyone be willing to use their connections to get a HG shipped to me via one of their friends/etc? Thanks in advance.

Meh, nevermind. People know more about seat covers and power horns these days. Decided to go with OEM gasket as per ROCAM's suggestion. Thanks though.

Time for the next stage of my DIY job. Putting in my new cam with adjustable pulley, probably bumping up compression a bit, porting and polishing, 3 angle + backcut valve job and valve seat work. Should be fun
