I have got the PHILIPS Blue Vision Headlamp bulbs fitted by the dealer. I have been advised to change the wiring and add a relay, which I did. Though it is Blue Vision, the lights are white, with very mild blue tint.

Aditya drives an mpfi esteem.

He just uses those lights with a normal Headlamp relay. No wiring mod,etc..

hey thanks nitrous.... btw the relay used is made by Lucas and it comes with thicker wires.... no special harness et all.... this is enough for me as i do most of the driving in the city and use only my fog lamps but once a month i travel to blore so thats when the HL's really help....

So get the bulbs and the relay and of course a better socket/holder which wont melt.... bakelite etc would be ideal as they dont get affected due to excess heat generated....

all the best...

Hey Thanks Nitrous and Aditya..

Everytime I go to buy the 130's the vendor frightens me off saying my headlight housing (Accent) will fade/discoulour. I tried changing the vendor - dint help!!

Normal City driving and the occassional highway burst -What say - take the plunge??...

100/90W is sufficient. I used 130/110 for a while but changed back to 100/90 when I suspected them to put load on my alternator. But the problem was something else. After that didnt feel the need to return back to 130W since 100W was bright enough. In a clear lens setup it should be even better

Only one reverse light for base models. And even old Ikons had just one reverse light.

And wht about a santro xing? just change bulbs to the 100/90?
