well, thanx for sharing the info on this horn,

I have been using the ROOTS horns, the biggest that roots make. and trust me guyz, its AWESOME and LOUD! god! it does scare a lot of ppl time to time!

but then, as everyones been quoting, u dont have a choice nowadayz but to honk the loudest u got! especially with the autos, taxis and a lot more!

The Roots have a very nice tone too and the best part is that it is REPAIRABLE! while HELLA horns are not repairable. if anything happens to the points, u gotta throw the hellas out. while roots, jus change the points!

I think they were also called Wolf horns! They were a rage about 7/8 years back. I dont hear them nowadays with the cops getting strict, I guess.

I have been using Hella supertones for quite sometime now and prefer them over Roots or Bosch anytime.

just checked on ebay.in.....
the stebelius nautilius tm80 magnum series thats available on ebay looks pretty genuine....might place my order for these.....scared about the lack of any warranty.....btw they cost rs489+91 rs courier charges anywhere in india....thats a cool deal.

anyways in my esteem i have the stock horn thats been working perfect since the car's come(i took it off for a year or so but its still working fine) and the other ones a pair of solex's(indian brand) which give out a very sweet sound(air horn type)....both these are interchangeable with the flick of a switch on the right side of the steering wheel

the zen has a pair of toyo horns(****ty) and one more pair of those realllly loud and sexy sounding solex's(can u believe it...both are the same model but sound as different from each other as chalk from cheese......one gives a loud air horn kinda sweet sound:esteem and one gives a loud optra kinda sound(zen)

all things said and done a horn is as important for a car in india as brakes are....so i love experimenting with new horns and change them once a year(keeping the solex's hehehe!!!)

FOR PPL IN MUMBAI-----i read this article in downtown plus the other day about chor bazaar selling different sounding horns at a dime a dozen....nautical horns train horns pressure horns air horns banned horns truck horns musical horns dog horns cow horns wolf horns name the animal that horn...
so will go check that place out before buying the stebelius.....
warning:as the name suggests dont take your car to the place.....you might come back and find your own horn missing.....or for that matter a tyre.........lol!!!!!!
