Hi Latheesh, did you fix those roots? i am also planning for a change. I guess you should put a cut-out or relay as the windtones if I am not wrong are dual speakers with hi & low pass.

is there anyother model at this price range?

Thanks for the help
Red Grills are repairable! And I have till date, never heard of Hella Red Grills going bad, are you sure you purchased a genuine?

Stebel TM80 Magnum is the option for you.

P.S. - If Chennai sells genuine Stebel Nautilus for Rs500-600, I'd be interested in a bulk deal Can you please find out and arrange?

Get a horn relay or a melody maker. That's it.

What?

This is the first time I'm hearing this about the Red Grill. I've had them since the past 3 years without any issue.

I have them installed in my OHC in the stock location and not in line with the front bumper.

I have had a Red Grill for almost 7 years now. I usually remove then when I sell my car and fix it on the next car. Doing duty on my CJ340 now. These are very much repairable and needs to be tuned for clarity though.

My friend has a Red grill high and a roots low. Must say it does sound good.

My stebel nautilus went bad a few days ago. It seems like it is choking on something. Any shops in Delhi I can take it to for repair?

Horns ਵੀ Horns in Karol Bagh (near DB Gupta Road).

The guy claimed that he can repair my Nautilus over a year ago, but I didn't believe him, so never gave him the horn.

That doesn't inspire much confidence. But thanks for the info Ankit.

BTW, did you manage to get the nautilus repaired?

I was not confident myself since the Nautilus can not be repaired. But no harm in trying I feel.

I tried to repair my Nautilus myself. Opened it completely and oiled what had to be. Never got the time to test it after that

Here is Roots Megasonic on TBTS, so loud that i am using it with great caution, same time you can push those pvt buses aside when required.

I recall having a pair of Roots that looked like these on my 6v Yamaha RX100 in the early 90s. Only, they were black powder-coated, not chromed. They were pretty loud, though I don't know how they would match up with these monsters.

I have a question, Whether Roots Windtone horn have any warranty or not? Accessory shop guy says Roots horn does not have any warranty. Is it true? I checked 3 boxes and found no papers/instructions inside, just have 2 horns. Since I am replacing my stock horns I am bit worried about this.

He quoted Rs.600 for Horn+Relay(PMP)+fitment, I think the price is good.

This windtone is it mechanical or air horn? and 600 bucks seems a good price. Which shop?
