Though I have never done any installations here, listing few of the Auto shops around Marathahalli.

When you travel from Marathahalli to Varthur(whitefield) Road

1.On the Service Road, just opp to Spice Garden Bus stop/Village SuperMarket (he had roots skoda type horn)
2. After about ~1km from Kundanahalli Signal, after Sriram Samruddi Apartments, on the right side. (seems to be Big)

If you take Kundanahalli-ITPL road, after about ~1km from the Kundanahalli signal, there is CCD on the left side, and one shop is there opposite to it.

On the 1.5km stretch of the service Roads on either side of Marathahalli ORR towards KR Puram (Malgudi/Shogun Dhaba)

Hello guys. I own a Hyundai i10 Magna and I feel that the Horn sounds too feeble, especially on rainy days. When I asked the Hyundai Service Center at Pattom, Trivandrum, they said that they can only change the horn and that it would cost about Rs. 2500. But since I knew that a decent one would fit under Rs. 1000 outside, I declined the offer.

So could you guys suggest me any good Horn, along with the price, that is legal on the road. I have heard that air horns are banned and is there anything else I should check while getting a new horn (wiring)?
Also should I keep the existing horn or completely replace it?

By the way, the reason that the Service guy at Hyundai gave for the feeble sounding horn is that all new i10s are factory fit with a Single Horn compared to the old i10s which had Double Horns. Is this true?

I believe that I can use either a Relay or a Melody Maker? I really don't like the melody makers as they are really irritating.

So where do you suggest I get it installed. The Hyundai Service Centre or another local accessories shop? I'm worried about the warranty getting void!!

Feby,

You can check Roots (Skoda Type). I got them installed in my Swift for less than 500.

Just compare the prices between the Hyundai Service Centre or local accessories shop and make a decision. Just fitting a horn will never ever void your warranty !

Hi taj: What is the rating of the Megasonic horn? Also Have you installed it with a relay. I got a pair of Hella horns fitted with Relay. The problem I'am facing is that the horn works even when the Ignition is turned off.

BTW the relay is of 3 pin type made by Super Industries.
