Can someone tell me where I could get these modifications done in Bangalore? Also can someone tell me - where would be the most ideal position for an intercooler in a Bolero DI.

Thanks for the update. Then can anyone suggest if there is any other option(that is other than pete) to improve the performance of the indica turbo.

Not exactly. The Innova is not sold in Europe AFAIK but you get boxes for them. Actually any Toyota/Honda/Hyundai/Fiat/Mercedes/BMW/Skoda/Suzuki diesel cars and there are tunning boxes for them. With Tata the gearbox wont be able to handle, and even Tata seems to agree by restricting the Dicor series to similar power and torque as the non-Dicor series

Discussions here mostly center around the pete's tuning box for new age diesels.

I would like to know for e.g. how would one be able to extract a good amount of power from say the Tata 1948 cc NA diesel that sits in the sumo/old sierra etc.
Things like turbo, intercooler, CAI, FFE are fine but is there any possibility of altering any electronics to get more out of the engine.

Also other than the OE turbo that comes in the turbo sumo is it possible to fit a bigger turbo to push power over 100 BHP?

@crazyforspeed and NOS Power
you could try and build yourself a propane kit. it will help with boost,turbo will spool up faster, horsepower and torque will increase and so will mileage. it has been discussed on the earlier pages of this thread.

Hi All,
planning to install a Pete's box in my laura...only thing i read was that you have to use regular diesel vs. turbojet etc. Why is that? In my mind that should work even better..Cheers

I have been using IOC xtrapremium diesel since day one in my Indica turbo, my car has covered 30000 kms without any problems. One is for sure premium diesels are a lot cleaner. so no problems of diesel blockade. I have seen myself the fuel filters and diesel tank residue when cleaned (very minimal)
further I have used premium diesel in my old Amby and run for 50000 kms without problems.

Hey fellows,

I'm planning to mod my swift VDI with Pete's chip. (Probably get it done this week) I also wanted to change the stock intake and exhaust, I had mailed Pete's and they recommeded I fit their Cotton green wind dynamisation kit.

Gurus whats your view on that. Is that the best thing to do or should I go for something else. What is the difference between the dynamisation kit and a CAI?

Also please advice on a FFE, which brand would be good?

Thanks in advance. I shall post my experience after my ride chipped.

I had the pleasure of doing some extensive testing on an Elantra Crdi running 18-21 psi (stock is 16 psi) for over 2 months now. Results are quite marvellous when compared to other peted elantra's in Bangalore. The owner of the car (who is still unable to log in to his ID(s) and post) shall be soon putting up a detailed review I hear. So lets wait for it.
