Re: Suzuki Inazuma - 1000 kms Report

The decision to reimburse present owners is really great. I remember Hero (Honda) reducing price of Karizma by 10k about 11 years ago. Did they reimburse existing owners as well?

Hope to see more Inazumas on road now.

They installed Central locking on old Karizma's free of cost that were purchased for 79,990 instead of 69,990.

Let me get the most disgusting/sordid part of the story out of the way first, which is the price of this bike. Here goes.

Ex-Showroom 3,25,000
10% Road Tax in TN 32,500
AAP-Mamool to RTO/Agent 2,500
On The Road Price: 3,60,000
Engine Guard 18,000
Center Stand 6,000
Total Price of Bike+Accessories: 3,84,000/- .
Hi there,
I just came accross in the news that prices of Inazuma has been revised and they are now around 1lac less.

And even greater news is that suzuki is refunding people who purchased the bike in the past.

Congrats for your purshase, and happy motoring!

Re: Suzuki Inazuma - 1000 kms Report

Here is some good news for you...
IAB is reporting that Suzuki has reduced the price by Rs. 1L and now the bike is priced at 2.1L ex-showroom.
Suzuki also says that they will compensate the 200 customers who have bought the bike at higher price..
Here is the link.

re: Suzuki Inazuma 250cc launched. *UPDATE* Price slashed by 1 lakh!

The news articles has not explained clearly how Suzuki managed to reduce the price by a whopping 1lac - that is 30% price reduction.

Is it going to incur some losses on selling it?

Guys, the biggest drawback with this bike has been addressed. I suggest taking a test ride.

re: Suzuki Inazuma 250cc launched. *UPDATE* Price slashed by 1 lakh!

I guess it did not take very long for Suzuki India to realize the mistake they had made with the pricing. With the new pricing, the Inazuma sure looks interesting. Parallel twin under 3lac. Sweet.

Yupp; 4X4 sure needs some kind of compensation.

Suzuki should have done their homework well before launching the bike at that price and now reducing the price damages the repute big time. Although refunding the previous owners is a great gesture too !

I am really not sure why Suzuki is not seriously positioning their products which are actually competitive and at par with other reputed brands. The Gs150, Access, Swish... all are good products but the people hardly notice them because of the lack-luster attitude and approach of the company. It comes down to, "Its good but not that good", during the decision making time.

The "zuma" sure is a great ride, twin cylinders are the main highlight for me. Butter smooth ride because of the 2 pistons. There are people/buyers who don't want a very flashy sportster, or an expensive roadster, but a performer with decent acceptable looks and price, the zuma fits here. And the price for which it is being offered makes it a really attractive buy.

Cheers !

re: Suzuki Inazuma 250cc launched. *UPDATE* Price slashed by 1 lakh!

Did a test ride of the Inazuma last weekend.

It was a display bike with the speedo disconnected since that seemed to be the only one in that showroom- Trinity circle.

Got a long enough ride on good roads and a short bad stretch.
Must say that it did not feel underpowered as I thought it would be.
With a pillion , the initial pick and mid range is good and smooth. Obviously, because of the twin.
Since the bike is big, it felt quite stable and comfortable and passed off bumps and ruts like there were minor undulations on the road.
I feel this a good product overall and with the pricing right now, it should take off atleast in small numbers.
I also felt, the bike would be best ridden on the highway. The sitting position is spot on for long rides as well and it can do 100kmh all day with all the luggage and pillion with out any problem and with that stability , it will be perfect.
Ofcourse, with a top speed of 135kmh, for the Jeremy Clarkson types, the D390 is always there. This would be more of a alternate to the CBR250 or the TB500. The parallel twin and size being the USP of the Inazuma.
Waiting period is a week .

Suzuki Inazuma - Price Reduction by almost 1L

Most reviews of Suzuki Inazuma only had good things to stay about the bike, except a few who found the bike with bland-looks. The only fly in the ointment was a stratospherically high 3.1L price (ex-showroom)

Apparently, Suzuki could manage to sell only 3 bikes so far (we have one of them in TBHP as well)

Finally, Suzuki learnt is marketing blunder, and has now reduced the price by almost 1L

I feel bad for the guys who bought it at original price (the three of them)

Now Inazuma makes a lot of sense!

Good move Suzuki! Appreciate it! I now see Inazuma selling in good numbers.

Fantastic decision from the heads at Suzuki.

I am speechless and do appreciate the move which does open doors for many guys who wanted the bike but stayed away due to price. We can see sales increasing slowly in the coming months.

Happy for you 4x4!

Anurag.

Wonder whether Suzuki plans on just liquidating present stock in India, and then forget about it!
