The On Road Price of the Ninja at Bangalore is now Rs. 3,25,142/-. This is due to the increase in the Karnataka VAT, Road tax and regn fees.

The price went up by 6k with the hike in duties post the budget and now up by approx another 10k.

Have to save up really hard now considering the wish list of accessories and riding gear i have in mind.

Hey dude,

the ninja will be delivered by mid-june considering the 90-day waiting period.

But the PBK manager did say that I can expect it to arrive much earlier (like in 70 -80 days or so) since they have ordered more bikes owing to the demand.

yeah the 10k hike sucks big time.

Hey, I have a question. Do they only accept booking amount? Or one can also pay in full. So if they accept full payment and the price hike happens after a month or so, do I need to pay the difference too?

The invoice which i obtained from Bajaj PB (pro biking) clearly mentions in black & white that the on road price of the ninja is subject to the price at the time of delivery. The vehicle will not be sent for regn. unless any outstanding amount is settled.

So even if one pays up the amount till the last paisa, any change in the prices is borne by the customer or the dealer at the time of delivery (dealer bears the difference if the price reduces which never happens unfortunately ). Cancellation of the booking results in a penalty of 4k, balance is refunded to the customer.

The booking form also mentions this.

I hope the prices dont go up any further. I myself cant believe that i am shellin out 3.25 lacs for a bike.

Cool! Thanks for the explanation

Inshallah the price will not go up any further. The price you pay for it will be worth it

Btw, what is the booking amount PBK expects you to pay?

I am also hoping that it doesn't go up any further dude.

The minimum booking amount is INR 40k.

If you go for financing from Bajaj (through the PB outlet) the down payment is 1lac. Balance is recovered in a max of 3 yrs... you end up paying more than a lac in interest @ 14% interest p.a.

Instead take a loan from a nationalized bank like Bank of India (BoI). They finance imported vehicles upto 25lacs with a repayment term upto 5 years. I guess they charge around 9.5% interest p.a.

Have shortlisted 2 banks and will be paying them a visit on saturday for financing options. One of them is BoI, have got a verbal quote from them earlier, just need to get it in writing now.

Latest update...

Just got off the phone with the Probiking manager at Blore.

The On Road price of the Ninja at Blore is now 3,19,054/-.

Thanks to the Govt., the tax / duty has been reworked so the price is down by approx. 6k INR.

P.S. Those who have paid more please approach the dealer for a refund.

Just got news from the manager of the probiking showroom that my Green Kwacker has been dispatched from Pune.

If all goes well, by God's grace, I should get the delivery next week. Hoping for next thursday so I can take an off on friday and have 3 whole days with the bike.

Good move from Bajaj. The waiting period has come down to around 45 days. I know some folks who waited as long as 5 months for their bikes to be delivered.

Whoopie !!! My GREEN Ninja will be ready for delivery tomorrow.

But will take the delivery on Friday morning instead.

Will put up an ownership experience thread including the decision making, buying and riding experience etc. in a week or so.

Will not be able to sleep for the next 2 days.
