Yes, its the RX135 4-speed. Don't have a big bike right now but will hopefully get one soon. Last one was a Gsxr 600.

Re: My Yamaha RX100 Cafe Racer modification thread! Dec 09 - back to stock!

The best part about this RX is that the previous owners (the first owner and my friend) have taken very good care of the bike. I got the bike with the original key, owners manual and the original invoice. And co-incidentally, the bike was purchased from the same dealer where I got my first Yamaha - the RX-Z.

The original key

And I might need yours too
Could you post pics of your RX and let me know what kind of restoration you are planning on? I am not planning on restoring the RX100, but giving it a more modern look. Still figuring out things that need to be done and fixed before I start. Not planning any performance mods, just a resto-mod job.

Re: My Yamaha RX100 Cafe Racer modification thread! Dec 09 - back to stock!

Sure thing Allen, my bike is anyways in a dismantled state, will share the pics this weekend. Want to build from ground up. Most of the parts are in place, just need to make a full list and start searching them, and then assembly.

Have to finish before Monsoon any how :(

Thanks.

Re: My Yamaha RX100 Cafe Racer modification thread! Dec 09 - back to stock!

Hey Sohail,

How's ur build going on? I finally started off getting parts for my RX. Got a set of Pulsar 17-in alloys (front and rear), pulsar front fork assembly, disc assembly and Endurance gas charged rear shocks. I wasn't considering changing the rear shocks but I find the Gabriel ones to be totally crap. Every bump feels as if someone is hitting on my back with a bat. So have to get it changed- I found the Pulsars suspension to be very comfortable so went for it.

Next on the list is to get the clutch fixed and then change to 12v electrical. Then starts the dismantling, painting and what not. Will start a new thread once things take shape.

Waiting for your RX pics.

Hey allen,

Last week the mech took the engine and other parts (block etc) to check and paint.

All seems to be fine. Let see how long does the requirement list goes.

Have just one pic on the phone.

Re: My Yamaha RX100 Cafe Racer modification thread! Dec 09 - back to stock!

Hey Sohail, how's the progress on the RX? Mine is going slow cos my mechanic has fallen sick. The Pulsar front end has been fixed. The rear should be fixed on the weekend and then it would be good to ride for a week to check if everything is fine. If all good it will go for painting and hopefully it should be ready by month end.

Re: My Yamaha RX100 Cafe Racer modification thread! Dec 09 - back to stock!

Guys need a quick help. Other than the chain and the sprocket, is there anything else that needs to be changed to fit the rear Pulsar wheel?

WIP at a slow pace. Here's a teaser - lip to be added after the tyres are mounted. Can't wait for it to be completed.
