Don't wish to reveal the identity, so numbers were edited.
Usually we do blank out the plates, instead I'm using 0000 since no such number exists.

Re: The Yamaha 'RX' Thread (with pics)

Presenting the rejuvenated 1990 RX-100. Picked this bike up with a whole lot of rust and restored it. Presented the restored bike to my father as the RX was the first bike he had bought and been wanting one ever since he sold it.

What a beautiful and neatly restored bike! Your father must be really happy.

Is it just me or is the rear mudguard fixed incorrectly?

He indeed is delighted and reliving his youth times! The mudguard is fixed properly. The back number plate though was a temporary cardboard one.

It's little different from RX 135 and RD 350. The atomiser is held in place by the main jet and the jet holder. Need to remove them using a 8size spanner and turn the carb so that the float side faces down and use a cylindrical object(I had a screwdriver) to slightly tap it down. The atomiser had 5 holes and a lot of rust particles and gunk. I just replaced the atomiser and cleaned the rest of it, blew some air into it and it was ready to be reassembled.

Assembled it and installed in the bike and it goes like an arrow. I have not seen this bike do that, was fun to watch it do that. Problem solved for good. Now sealing the inside of the tanks of RX and RD to prevent any future rusting.
