I felt excited seeing the result on 110 BHP machine.
This is actually achievable in any 110 PS but there is a catch.
As Pradeep mentioned, fill in full tank, reset counters and gradually, smoothly climb to just below three figure speeds and hold it tight there.
I am sure it will give a reading of 19-20kms/l in all the 110 dusters but its only for the time being and only for a particular stretch of road.

Stop for a minute with the engine running or even think of so called racing and the mileage falls drastically. Drive through city traffic and the figures changes.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Hi All,

Any recommendations for art leather seat covers for the Duster in Bangalore?

Which brand and where can i get this done.

The stock fabric seat covers are extremely difficult to maintain.

Could someone also post photos of some work you have already got done.

Sid

I also have 110 BHP and done around 7K km, but the best mileage which I have got till now was on yashwantrao chavan expressway between Mumbai-Pune, when I was always in the range of 80-100 till I reached Powai from Pune, all on AC.

Probably you have not seen the condition of this road recently, otherwise you wouldn't be saying this. It doesn't look like a highway anymore, rather it looks like you are driving within city limits. Its all piled up till Mysore from Bangalore.

I initially used to like NH-7 much better when I used to go beyond Hosur, until I discovered the NH-4, which is just awesome till Belgaum as its 6 lane all the way till belgaum, with some minor issues in between. So, till now for me, if I'm going just for a drive out of bangalore I would go on NH-4.

Not exactly. I traveled at evening 5:30 and started back at Saturday morning 11:00 AM.
I got similar numbers in Krishnagiri - Madurai route as well. But the moment you go beyond 100 -110, the mileage drops to 19.

Read in the Times of India that Scorpio sold higher numbers than Duster for July although YTD numbers are higher for the Duster. Looks like dust is slowly settling and Renault better get their act together...

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Has there been a Duster 4x4 released? Saw this near KR Puram with a 4x4 written at the rear just above the version badge. Don't know if its a fake, but the badge looked as close to original.

Good observation. However, this seems fake to me. The registration is KA53 - Z which is atleast 6 months old series. No news from Renault dealership on the 4x4 launch either - I am in regular touch with staff from Trident Renault.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Guessed so. Don't know why one would want to have such a label?

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

you are worrying up about a Duster having a "fake" 4X4 badge?
Here in NCR, even autos proudly display 4X4 capabilities !

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Hi guys,
I have done a DIY to resolve the Door noise and clatter which we see so frequently in all our Dusters in my ownership report here

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ml#post3223860

Pasting the same details once more in the official review section did not seem appropriate. Hope it is useful to you.
Cheers

Hi Pradeep - those mileage figures are very impressive. I hardly get 14 +-1 in Bangalore traffic, although I have only done 1k kms.

Can you share some details about your driving style and recommendation for Duster - avg speed, RPM and gear ratios?

Thanks

I think basically if you remain under 3 digits you should get the possible mileage. Esp 90-100 on 6th gear or 85-90 on 5th (For the 5-gear 85 bhp version). The issue is on 4-lanes with wafer thin traffic we let our speeds run wild. And that coupled with AC is a sure shot FE killer.

For city I think FE is directly proportional to chaos!

More than driving styles, I would say choose your time of commute and you would be surely rewarded with a better FE.
