Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Thanks for sharing the full S-Cross Ad. Yeah, definitely looks better than the pointless ad Hyundai got done to show there is no Body Roll on the Creta.

I'm not surprised by the speculative pricing shared by Anurag on the previous page. In fact, I expect the final pricing to be in the ball park. So S-Cross or XUV 5OO, I'll know by this weekend.

In under 20 minutes, Maruti Suzuki NEXA will decide the fate of this premium Crossover.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Just a thought, may be little off topic for now:

Maruti is bringing a nice car with nice engines from Fiat, people are happy with that. Maruti is also happy as they are getting great volumes for models like Swift, Dzire, Ciaz, Ertiga with Fiat engines. Now for S-cross they are launching with only diesel option. I guess they had a big chance to launch with Petrol option as well and they haven't taken it, sadly. They should have taken T-jet engine from Fiat India which would have been great combination again. Its a one heck of a engine and has great drivability with better fuel efficiency. It should have surely given maruti some additional numbers. Fiat would have been also happy supplying it as it would have generated some better numbers as they themselves are unable to sell many in India. It would have been win win situation for Maruti, Fiat and customers. Sadly its not the case :(

I am not able to see the webcast in the Nexa website. However, it is available LIVE in Rushlane. The launch program has just started. Not sure if it is my internet connection or something else, the streaming is very bad

no issue.
they are just busy glamourising the S Cross at present.
Something is wrong at my end. I am neither able to view it in IE nor in Chrome. So, I downloaded the debug information from the video and now directly connecting to the source using the JSON call For anyone having issues with the webcast, use this link and download the M3U8 file and you can watch the launch directly on your VLC player

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Overall boring program .. I didn't like it. They should have taken some nice Anchor to host the show and make it more spicy. Eagerly waiting for pricing now

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Its going to be a surprise rather than a shock. Fingers crossed on how much of a surprise it is going to be.

It should undercut creta by 1.5 lakhs, and i will seriously kick myself for not waiting and buying the sedan sibling.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

The prices of S-Cross announced!!! Please find the screen-grab of the prices below.

Just before the prices were revealed, the guy stressed that S-Cross is a premium offering (indicating that the prices will also be on those lines) and that was the moment I was pulled back to ground and I was looking at the prices with not much surprise.

Now at these prices, even the Zeta variant will be >10 lakhs ex-Bangalore. So even before the Bangalore prices are out, I might have to ask my RM to process the refund What a pity. And I am back to where I was long back. I am hating this man!!!

On the other hand, I am sure Hyundai management is dancing with joy now and should be the same with Renault and Ford guys!!!
