Re: Kia Seltos : Official Review

BTW, these cartridges are expensive (I recall more than 1000 rs per cartridge).
How long does a cartridge last?
My experience with this has been poor. During demo at the time of delivery, when I asked the demo guy about the perfume, he told me this needs to be activated from the service center! A few days after delivery, when I figured out how to activate it after seeing youtube videos and activated it myself, it did not have any kind of perfume. Even after removing 2 tabs first and then all 4 tabs, it just had a very faint hardly discernible scent for the first few seconds on turning the air purifier on. I don't see the point in spending 1000 Rs for this if this is how it works! (I have a fairly good sense of smell).

I have had a mixed experience with different cartridges. I think the ocean one lasted around 3 months with all 4 strips removed, however, forest and lavender lasted just about 1.5 months, which is really less for INR 1200.

Thing that I appreciate is seamless integration onto the air purifier system and keeping the cabin clutter free, however, I am not sure if it is worth it now. I will buy Ocean one more time and if it does last 3 months I may continue to use it else would shift to something else.

Re: Kia Seltos : Official Review

I have heard from some reliable sources that Kia is going to launch updated Seltos with panaromic sunroof, paddle shifters and electronic parking brake. Launch would be in April second half. It will definitely take the sibling rivalry with Creta to a whole new level!

Brother will the Panaromic Sunroof replace the normal sunroof or it will be only be in a new special edition like the gravity edition we saw in korea?

I really hope HTX gets additional safety features and the paddle shifters
It will make it a complete package

Re: Kia Seltos : Official Review

This query is for a friend, I don't have any idea about the various Seltos Petrol variants and hence posting here for your feedback.

He is looking for a Petrol automatic <= 15 lakh Rupees on road in Bangalore.
What are the variant options in Seltos in this budget and what are the other cars in same budget range from other manufacturers ?

*Tiguan/Kushaq possible in the same budget ?

The cheapest Seltos petrol automatic is 17.9 lakhs in bangalore. The choice is Sonet HTK+, Magnite or Kiger in the budget, the latter two have top end models at this budget, the Sonet is quite basic.

The best Petrol automatics at this price point are the Ecosport Titanium+ AT, the Magnite/Kiger top trims and with a little bit of stretch the Sonet GTX+ DCT. If he is fine with considering Sedans then there is the City base trim Automatic which is very well equipped.

The Sonet HTK+ DCT has been discontinued unfortunately.

Suggest waiting for the Kushaq, which is due for launch in June.

The 1.0 TSI AT mid variants surely will be under 15 L OTR.

Not to forget that the Euro cars are superior to the Koreans.

If he absolutely wants a top trim, than the Sonet is the only option. It has everything under the sun in that segment (& even above that).

Re: Kia Seltos : Official Review

Some details about the upcoming changes in Kia Seltos. Apparently to be launched on April 27. Most of the changes are cosmetic in nature (as expected) like wireless Apple CarPlay, Panoramic sunroof etc.

Completely contrary report from carandbike.com.
No panaromic sunroof for the Seltos in 2021.

I would be surprised if Seltos doesn't offer panaromic sunroof in the new model. It will definitely be a missed opportunity in the highly competitive segment. Although the article did mention that they didn't receive official comment from Kia so fingers crossed! May be the news is to attract eyeballs..
