Leads/ recommendations welcome. Factory fitting and integrated into the Infotainment system would have been ideal. Looking for the next best thing.
SensAiry, mobile app based. Works fine.

2. The niggles we have seen in most people's experience are minor, fit & finish, infotainment, etc. Once fixed, you should be good. There have been lot others who have faced no issues at all and are very happy with the car.

I also wonder, for 70-80% city drive and at max 8k drive in a year as of now, would it be worth going for a diesel SUV.

I feel the Harrier would be far more sorted in it's 3rd Gen whenever it comes out.

Thanks Kosfactor. I drove to the service centre today and tried your suggestion on the way. The SCR error went away after a while but the Visit Service Center icon stayed. On reaching the centre they plugged in the computer and saw an error which was due to "accelerator & brake" pressed simultaneously (which I really didn't do). They didn't see any code related to SCR apparently in the system. I showed them a photo of the error. They couldn't locate the problem. They also checked the underbody of the car to see any visible issues with the SCR system in vain.

I returned with the car and after a few hours tried starting the car, and bang, the same error gets displayed. The service centre is supposed to pick up the car tomorrow now. Lets see.

Meanwhile I have written "war and peace" to Tata Motors customer care about my entire experience with this particular dealer from who I bought the car and his service centre. (PS. I visited a different dealer service centre today). And of course about the quality issues with my car. Let's see what they do.

Just got my dashcam hard wired. Attaching pic of the fuse box and it’s location (below glovebox).
Bought a customised airtag and keychain for my car as well. Looks fantastic !!

Completely agree. Have fitted the same on my Hexa XTA and their support is also excellent.

The service centre have been able to reproduce the problem (for SCR System Fault) now. But are unable to find a solution for it yet. I am told that the issue has been escalated to Tata Motors and they are awaiting response from them. 3 days now the car is with them.

Now the only variants sorely missed are the XMA S, XTA and XTA +. Wondering if it is so difficult for TATA to add these variants in the lineup. Any news of the same? Would make it a perfect car if these variants are added.

Re: 2020 Tata Harrier Automatic : Official Review

New colour option seen on the regular Tata test fleet. Not sure why this vehicle is in the test fleet as the only external difference seems to be the new colour and the blacked out wheels. Testing something under the hood perhaps?

Also this is not the silver colour that it used to come with, it's a light grey like Nardo grey.

Love this colour though. Harrier has quite a bland pallette currently.

I just got a call from the sales rep at Garve. Tata has started shipping out the Harrier XTA and XTA+ variants as well from this month onwards. Looks like your wish has been answered by the overlords at Tata . Pricing should be out in a few days.

If true - this has to be the real best news of the year from Tata motors. XTA was a desperately needed variant. It ticks the right boxes. XMA was rather bare bones and made no sense when real must-haves even like Android Auto were missing. Fingers crossed that this is a true news. Definitely will win more customers as long as the sales reps manage to show the value of XTA variant to them (and the price is well balanced).

That' fantastic news. You made my day already. These variants may cost 21-22.5 lakh on road here in Nagpur. Fingers crossed.
I intend to buy one in December this year with the xuv 700 launching till then and forcing the tata harrier to up its game in features. May even get some discounts on the car by then.

Harrier is by no means a replacement/upgrade for Hexa which hands down wins on the ride quality, comfort, luxury, size, capability (4*4 and body on frame chassis compared to harrier's monocoque).

Harrier is way ahead in terms of handling, performance, looks, etc. Of course, the Hyundai sourced 6-speed auto has been seamlessly mated to the fiat's 2-litre engine - which is best experienced on highways and is a bliss to drive.

Re: 2020 Tata Harrier Automatic : Official Review

Hi,
I have booked xza+dt and want to install dashcam.

Request forum members to help me in my queries -
1.) Can we install dual dashcam in Harrier - front and rear ? I checked at rear and it seems tough.
2.) Xza+ has curtain airbag. How can I hide the wire of front dashcam ? I do not want to hardwire but use cigarette lighter port for power supply.

Thanks.

Thanks.

You can wire the dashcam inside the rubber lining of the door. Under the door and below the carpets. And then up to the power source. For zero visible wires use the usb port behind the armrest.
