Would you guys mind sharing the price you picked up the car for? I'm looking at one in HYD and its at around 25L for 22k km 2021.

I have upsized my Style variant to 215/55/R17 Primacy 4ST and they’re doing great! Please note this MAY impact suspension and steering warranty.

I shared my answer on this thread twice.

That seems alright. But you can negotiate a little bit more. Try orangebookvalue.com to get a sense.

Mine was around 22K KMs, but was a second owner.
Got for 22.8L.

I remember Spinny had it listed around 25 for a similar model with 35K in the odo (KA registration).

Apologies in advance of my question is silly.

Do i need to change my wheels if I want to go for a wider tyre?
Also would that void warranty?

I would need a tyre replacement in next 5-10k KMs, if I don't wanna void warranty, which tyres would you suggest? Don't want to get a sharp hit on the mileage, would like better NVH and suspension.

Can you share pics of the tyres. Also with upsizing your tyres do you feel a reduction in the acceleration and steering response ( heavier steering)?

You should not have to change wheels if your car is an L&K variant. has pulsar-design alloys and is switching to 225/50/R17.

I am personally happy with the 225/50/R17 size. It made handling a tad better and gives a better stance. For NVH, I don't notice any change as the cabin is already silent. Regarding suspension, as I already mentioned, Michelin Pilot Sport has harder rubber, making things feel sporty. If you wish for some softness, you can consider the Primacy Series from the same brand. I don't have experience with other brands, so I can't say.

Regarding the warranty, it's debatable. For the suspension, you can argue that the tyre diameter is largely the same. For the steering rack, it could cause you trouble. Again, this is my perspective, so take it with a pinch of salt.

Re: Skoda Octavia 2.0 TSI DSG Review

Thanks Rahul and Akshay. Appreciate your inputs but given I live in a remote location and have already had a couple of issues I don’t want to risk giving the skoda team any opportunity to deny warranty claims so I’ll stick to the stock dimensions.

I have stored my stock tyres in the attic so I can switch back to them if the need arises. It's a 30 mins job anyway!

I suggest that you get the Michelins Primacy 4 for improved comfort or Pilot Sport 4 for improved handling, and switch back to the stock tyres if at all you have issues with suspension or steering.

Any thoughts on going for 225/55/R17? I am asking this as I would prefer a cushier ride, I understand there will be a minimal impact on the speedo readings and the overall increase in the diameter is around 3% of the OEM size.
