Yeah, probably not delivery sequence but a booking/ order sequence number. I'm also in 3 digits and with 176k bookings 3 digit booking IDs can't mean random things.

Of course there is a play of models too and M&M may prioritize higher grossing models first.

I made two different bookings - online one was done at 11.01 for Mocha interiors and it has the booking id 10002XXX whereas the one done through dealer around the same time for white interiors has the booking id 101XXXXX.

The first 3 digits seem to be a code for the variant. My booking of AX7L P AT has the same B999 in the beginning.

So here's an interesting bit. According to my bank transaction hx, my booking payment went through at 11:01:04 IST and a friend of mine got his at 11:01:31 IST. Also, both of us have booked different variants.

The difference between our booking ID's is: 560
The difference between our payment ID's is: 250

So in roughly 30 seconds, the booking ID went up by 560 and payment ID by 250.

I know this is a small sample size but if we extrapolate this out, 560 in 30 seconds translates to 67200 bookings in one hour, and this is just booking ID's, not confirmed payments.

Food for thought? The 175K/in 1 hour number published by M&M seems very far fetched don't you think?

Looks like at least 2 series of booking IDs B-100 and B-999, something probably to do with 4x4 and RWD, can't be sure but looks like that.

Login to the main website again https://auto.mahindra.com/ using email or phone and then click on the user icon on the right top to see vehicle bookings.

I had booked AX7L D AT RWD and payment was processed within couple of minutes of opening of booking.

Hmm, I have a 4X4 booking in Diesel and my friend has a 4X2 booking in Petrol, both have B-999 ID's
