The website is down. OTPs are not coming through, anymore.

I'm afraid this thread has become more of a booking experience story rather than about the car itself.

There's always something with their launches. I'm still chasing them legally for my 700 price locking over 2 years since their launch fiasco. And refunds without deductions? Trust no dealer.. Their only goal today is to garner bookings, consequences thereof to be dealt with at a future date.

Anyway, picked an AX3L D MT since I have always felt the need to have something that can see through fog. Does anyone know what parts of the ADAS system depend on the radar and will work even in heavy rain / dense fog?

Will be putting my Thar D HT MT on the chopping block this month. Let's see if I can get enough value to qualify the change.

I no longer see the payment failed message. I suggest speak to the support team so you get a final confirmation from them.

I made the payment and completed rhe booking by 11:01pm today. Payment was made via Google Pay and I have also downloaded the payment acknowledgement receipt.

However at 11:20pm I recieved the following message via SMS:
Hi XXXXX, unfortunately your payment for Thar ROXX has failed. Due to this, your booking is on hold. To retry the payment, please visit booking.mahindra.com Team Mahindra.

Now I am unable to login because I am not getting the OTP. Mahindra Chat on WhatsApp isn't working either. What should I do?

Agreed. Mods, could we have a separate thread for booking related experiences and queries? There was a similar one for SN if I remember correctly.

The AX7 L variant is coming shod with 19 inch tyres. Apart from the fact that the ride quality is pretty firm, I believe these would also be really expensive when the time comes to replace them.

Average cost of 19 inch tyres is around 20k per tyre and almost half for the 18 inch ones.

Just an observation for folks to consider.

They should be well aware with the fact that there will be strong criticism for showcasing an off road vehicle with white interiors. But the development for brown interior is nothing which had decided overnight. Mahindra should have been working on this very before, infact this was leaked when the Australian journalists had their Mahindra plant visit in Jan 2024 when Scorpio was getting launched in Australia.

Mahindra simply delayed the second interior colour option and now everybody is praising them for acting upon the customer feedback.

The customer support team asked me to ignore the SMS as my booking went through. Now I just got to wait.

I bit the bullet too even though I am not sure on many things and did not do the test drive etc. But most of the issues I am having with the current 2 door Thar would be sorted I think, when I get the delivery of the 5 door Thar which will happen in few years! 1.78/6000 (Roxx produced per month) which is approximately 30 months plus for minus and by then, most of the niggles and issues would be sorted out as well. I did book around 11.45am so, I am surely out of this initial one hour batch. Intentionally, I delayed the booking to purchase the time so that Mahindra will iron out the issues. Even if I want to cancel, I would just loose a bit and that is still ok. I booked the top end Mocha Brown, 4x4 D AT in Grey color which is unique.

Planning to test drive Thar 5 Door, XUV 7OO and Alcazar soon. I might sway towards Alcazar to replace the Thar 2D if there is some good deal towards the year end. Otherwise, I will just wait and watch.

I checked ROXX today at Koncept Mahindra. The vehicle is quite spacious but ingress and egress is difficult especially for elderly. Plastic quality is of 8-10 lakh vehicle than vehicle costing North of 2 million rupees. Dealership experience is underwhelming to say the least with Salesperson though cordial but least interested in Customer.

Booked the AX7L 4wd, battleship grey with mocha brown interior, started the process at exact 11:00:00 am, and the payment was completed at 11:03am via Google pay, no glitch or payment failed message, immediately got to the confirmation web page, with an option to download the booking receipt as pdf. Received the sms and WhatsApp message at 11:35am, and the email was was received at 1:15pm, my wait will begin from 25th January 2025😀, (Mocha brown interior selected)

I am short (165) average built (~ 63kg) and found it very difficult to get in and out of Roxx rear seats due to narrow entrance.

How to get in touch with the Customer support team? I made the payment, it showed payment failed, money got deducted, there is a booking reference number, but no other communication. I emailed the customer support team, but no reply from them as well.

Dial 1800 209 600. Then press 2 (for sales). Then share your Payment Reference ID with the customer executive and they'll tell you the status of your booking.
