I added my preference on Mahindra website and verified my PAN on 27th September. So far, I haven't received any call from either their call-centre or dealership.

I have also been to dealership in my city (Udaipur). I can confirm that there is no dearth of customers looking to buy Thar Roxx. So perhaps they don't need to bother calling anyone. At least for next few months...

If it was not done by them, the off roading in mud & slush would automatically turn the ivory interior into a mocha brown one soon.

Jokes apart, it seems that the seats getting dirty from the initial media drives itself & the mention of the same in multiple reviews pushed M&M to quickly take this decision! Hope the other improvement areas that are easy to implement, are also rectified in similar fashion.

First, the - they’re open to course correct on the obvious and introduce the new upholstery scheme. Kudos for that.

Now the - why did this even have to be the subject of feedback! I mean this is the most obvious misstep by a MILE!!

Anyway, what’s done is done. This brown does look quite nice and a welcome respite change to that unmaintainable ivory.

EDIT: Gosh, just re-read and realised its only on the 4x4. They really need to offer this across the board sooner rather than later.

I can wait Mocha Brown makes superb sense like my peer stated above but why did they have to course correct this they should have given from start.

Is the premium leatherette seat in white a different material than the 4x2 ? Or is the same? The seats which are getting dirty on the current vehicles we see are due to the soft nature of the fabric and not necessarily the color white (my XUV700 still looks new after 2 years)

The brown is a welcome change but i think it would look odd with the white grab handles.. normally would cars which have mocha brown seats have black roof linings?

By the way, can anyone make out from the pic if the roof liner also gets a darker shade? If not, it is a miss. It will get dirty in a week's time.

Yes Mahindra! You've only gone and listened to the feedback on the ivory shade! Now do us another favour and make it available on the RWD cars as well, for the urban owner too has trouble keeping it clean.

Looks grey to me. However, it'll be clear with a few more official photos from the company. I really hope they do a complete job and make everything dark(er)

This is what I would call as timing. I registered my EoI for a 4x4 automatic today noon. However, there was no option for this trim in the portal yet, only the vehicle color choice is available.

I received a call literally within 2 minutes from their call center. The agent persuaded me to book a test drive. I told him to contact me after Oct 31.

Do not share your Aadhaar.
This was not an issue for me as I gave them my firm's address and PAN, the latter is an integral part of the GSTIN. I do agree, some risk is involved. I also think such a check is necessary to curtail spam or multiple bookings.
That said, let us hope MM would store the PAN as masked (by replacing some chars with ***) or they will simply discard this data altogether and store just the verification passed flag. Eg: id_doc_type as P or A.

I just checked but till now there is no option to choose the interior colour as Mocha Brown. I hope this is enabled before the booking starts on 3 Oct.

Mahindra, please offer a darker shade for RWD versions, atleast for the AX7L - any color will do other than the dirt-magnet white. Brown/Grey/Red/Black/Violet/Pink/Blue/Green/Purple , anything Mahindra, you can also charge more...but please not the Rin-ki-safedi White

I don’t know how many folks remember this, but in 2023 when the Australian Media teams were visiting the Mahindra Plant, there was a Thar’s dashboard on the assembly line in the exact same colour theme mocha brown + black.

It was already in the pipeline, Mahindra was clearly gauging response for the same with its ivory interior counterpart and added this mocha brown to the interior colour palette when they realised not many were liking the idea of light interiors in a 4X4.

I'm pretty sure this was in the pipeline all along. Of course they would roll out the brown interiors on the highest-priced 4x4 versions! I'm not even mad they waited until all reviewers had bashed them for ivory interiors.
