That must be an head turning ride around Cubban Park, that too on Sunday evening.

More events like this will add more classic scooters (also the value of the scooter)

Cheers

Thanks, Shyam! You guys should do similar...like setting up the Hyderabad chapter of Classic Scooter Club. Nothing like a nice ride on a Sunday with like-minded people riding alongside you. And relax, those things are not lost! They are left at home so that they can be mounted properly when painting is done.

And right-minded people (read of the opposite sex!) riding with (or is it behind?) you! ;) :D

Glad to know those fittings are kept safe!

BTW, reg. arun's '62- I'm not sure it is an Innocenti one- I was under the impression that they came only until '61 (following which year the series 2 production was stopped by Innocenti, replaced by the series 3) although they did have Innocenti speedos until like, '67 or '68.

Shyam,

You are right.....you can be my passenger and turn your head more often :D

I may keep one scooter permanently with my cousin in Bangalore

Here is 1961 Lambretta Li 150, recently acquired from Chennai.
Its a single owner scooter.

THANK you very much Shyam......for the help

All the inspiration I got from this forum, after seeing Shyam and SA7VA5 scooter restoration works.....great to be here

Congratulations Girish, these models with good history are impossible to find these days. All the best for the restoration.

Friends,

Just to create a photo archival of so called front engined autos which are nothing but the Italian based Lambretta three wheeler's pictures here:

Aaah...the Coimbatore "Lamby autos" I presume? I'm glad someone photo'd them! :)

There was an article about these online some time ago. But, as is the case with most online newspaper articles, no clear/legible pics.!

These aren't technically Italian-based (which were caled the Lambro and a rather different shape) but coach-built on the chassis/front part made by KAL (Kerala Automobiles Ltd.)

Another state where you can commonly still (I think) find these is Rajasthan- I've travlled in them loads of times when we lived there in the 80s! 'brought back lots of memories......although I didn't particularly find it too comfy in the rear.

Aside, I doubt if these pictured here run on meter, considering they are based in TN? :)

i am looking for lambretta gp 200 which come same like vijai super but model year is 1969 to 1971 any leads will be appreciated as i want to add this model in my collection of rare italian lambrettas.

Lambrttacollect: What are the "rare italian lambrettas" in your collection? Can u please post a few pictures for our viewing pleasure? All the best on your hunt. I hope I come across one myself.

I have seen a strange scooter a couple of times last week. It appears to be based on the Lambretta Cento. It has a neat riveted badge in the front saying "Sunny", much like the Vijay badge. Apparently badge engineered. Any idea whether it is genuine?
