Thanks for the clarification. And as usual most of the cars will not have the air box. Same with super select the cover will remain and be mistaken by many as air box.

AFAIK, the naturally forced Air intake assembly system from the grill and engine bay via the air box compartment/lid within the dash is the same on all Indian and Italian FIAT 1100's upto 1964. However the parcel tray was introduced on the Super Select models and onward.
And yes, that over the years the box is unknowingly dismantled or "can sill kiya" by someone who didn't believe in "OH REE G NAL E T".

Found this one on my evening walk , actually i dont know the model name , is it 1100 or elegant or superselect ?

it is an elegant which lacks originality and has the documents of a 1963 super select.

Great restoration job done, this will inspire other fiat fans to maintane there fiat and premier padmini cars. Actually now a days so many people are scarping premier padmini in Kerala, this will help to stop that thing happening.

This car pic I saw on orkut too, it is posted with phone number and posted my friend from Ernakulam, he says asking price is Rs 140000.

Yep , one lac and 40 thousand bucks !!!!!!

I just can't understand that why he is asking so much.

Well AFAIK the trims for elegent were in Steel only. the one on millicentos were aluminium though. And these trims can still be had along with the front piece as told to me by my Fiat 1100 Bangalore club members .
