No no its Canada, i visited cardomain.com, they had few Selects with the members, with most of the original fittings, including millicento badge on grill.

suren181 had told me about this black select he often has seen in Secunderabad. I too saw this car quite a few times, after it was restored last year but got to take this one photo of it only on Sunday as I was passing by that side. 'seems to have come out well, although cosmetically not 100% original of course.

The car looks quite nice. I can live with those hubcaps (since they were a popular accessory till the 70s) but that pipe below the running board is positively hideous! Although one gets bored with so many of these cars in black, but somehow they also look the most evocative in this colour.

I guess it's some side running-board protector come "show" piece. Common on Ambys.

I do recall seeing a pic. of a similar familiare, in calcutta too, in another thread. But not in black. Could be the same car repainted.

Nice find karl, The estate variants are quite hard to come by here i guess, but sadly, this one seems to be 'modded' Even though it looks good, i think he'd have been better off modding a select/SS. Any updates on the work progress of this car?

OT: Didn't Cyrus(I think) find one somewhere near kurian's garage? Any news about that?

The pictures were given to me by a friend when he was visiting, must be over a year ago. No more details.

Here is Cyrus's photo
