Thank you very much guys

Year end had kept me a bit busy for the last 2 weeks, but here are the updates.

1) First coat of the actual base shade sprayed.
2) Spot patti applied , and there are many places where i've been seeing imperfections, SO lot of REDO .
3) Since we dont have intake and exhaust manifold, got the intake manifold fabricated (REPLICATED), search is ON for the carb.
4) Distributor not good, search is ON for the parts.

Lack of spares driving me nuts, its all there available but taking time.

Some more updates,

Every day we are coating the car with 2 mm putty and 99% of it is rubbed down by the end of the day.

As on today, the surface is looking good, though i found some spots which requires work, hopefully by weekend, we will have a perfect surface to initiate the final spray

The actual shade is chosen now, and yes it will be a "BLUE" the way Akshay Kumar sings in that movie

1 more week and the painting job will be DONE.

One example for the proposed final finish of this car, FOUND ON GOOGLE

Looks like i need to wait for couple of days more.

Not too happy on the surface, i make the painter re-do the putty job again.

This should be the final putty work, after which i presume we get an even surface.

Juggling between 2 paint projects simultaneously is really tough.

While the surface is getting treated with few more patches of putty, the inside of the car was pressure washed and cleaned.

Later we sprayed paint for the interiors, happy at least the inside is done

We now wait for some hot scorching sun and a bit of humidity tomorrow to spray the final coat.
