I too hope so.

The final spray was supposed to be done 4 days ago, i might get flamed by the painter for delaying it.

Everyday he says, i am spraying the final coat ,i am not too happy on the surface job, made him redo the surface putty work 4 times.

In the meantime, we painted the inner door panels and the fuel tank.

Hopefully we might see the final coat on the surface tomorrow

Rather slow development, but "patience wins"

Tomorrow morning we might finally spray the final coat.

The sun shining outside showed some promise today

Ideal heat and humidity for yet another painting job.

Off-late i have been honing my painting skills (rather experimenting)

I could still see few uneven surface at few places, the painter has been having a horrid time with me since a week. He said " Sir lets paint the final spray today" i go around the car make him apply patti few places AGAIN.

After sometime, we decided to paint only few parts of the car today and finish it. I found the Bonnet / Dickey and the Roof too be in good shape. We start spraying the final coats. Few minutes ago we completed the selected portion and i can say, i am happy with the paint job

Tomorrow morning, the rest of the car will get its final spray, hopefully.

Some pics

Why don't you get the car covered with some plastic material to avoid the dust on the paint. It will also prevent the car from possible scratches.

PS: can we have some pics of the containers of the material used for reference.

The Wolsley took lot of time and attention, that this VW was left alone for a weeks time.

Finally work started on the car from yesterday.

1) Door and door locks installed
2) Glasses installed
3) Door Setting done
4) Wiring started.

Few fittings done, and now the car will be shifted to the mechanics place for mounting the engine and some work on the brakes.
