Look at their ages- 16,17,22..
Not 100% sure but based on what I see from the video looks like the other guy was coming from opposite side. These two guys were just coming horizontal to the ground but nowhere close to slightest of control over the mo-bike.

I was being to that stretch few days back at night. There was a huge group of bikers at both sides of the stretch and going in all directions - wrong directions, riding perpendicular from shoulder to right most lane, stopping on right most lane near the divider, et al; it was pretty chaotic. It looked like, money and betting is involved and a rivalry was going on.

I didn't drive for a while to avoid the possible risk and observed from a bay area. Strangely, most of them had a similar way of dressing, had applied 'surma' in eyes, and were talking in Hindi with a different dialect. Guess, they need a proper platform to hone their skills instead of trying out stunts on public roads.

A heavy vehicle carrying machinary fell off the Valley bridge in Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand.
Locals apparently warned the driver to prevent him from taking the heavy vehicle across the under construction bridge, but the driver stil went ahead. Two people were injured and have been admitted in hospital.
Some comments stated that the machinery was for the bridge construction itself.

That's a Bailey Bridge .

That bridge was made in 2009. The construction equipment was being carried for road being built along Indo-China border. More details here - Link

Severely injured must be the guy who was walking behind the truck.

Isn't 11 years way too less for the bridge to give up. Or was it often abused with over weight laden such trucks.

Tata Nexon Brutal Accident - Impact Detaches Engine

This do speaks about the 5-star safety of Tata Nexon. A good point to consider our make in India product. The driver just walked out with a broken shoulder.

Quote:
A person driving a Tata Nexon was involved in a very serious crash that resulted in the car being rolled over on its roof.

The car was reportedly being driving beyond the specified speed limits, and wet road conditions led the driver to lose control of the Tata Nexon, which went and banged into something, before turning upside down. The crash was so severe that the engine of the sub-4m SUV somehow flew out of the engine bay and fell at a remarkable distance from the car.

The Tata Nexon looks completely totalled, however, the car was able to save its sole occupant – the driver, who walked away with a broken shoulder. The driver of the car escaped what could turn out to be a fatal crash, which goes on to prove the Tata Nexon’s superior build quality.

Re: Tata Nexon Brutal Accident - Impact Detaches Engine

Thank God the driver is safe. Kudos to Tata Motors for providing us a safe car.

However, having a five star car does not automatically provide a license for driving rash or beyond safe limits. One has to be sane enough to drive within the prescribed limits and as per regulations. The occupant should be made to do social service on increasing awareness on road safety against this misadventure.

Great indeed. From Tata Indica to this time, safety and build quality is where Tata cannot lack behind.

+1 to that, came across a few who overestimate themselves and their vehicles and end-up putting themselves in accidents like these.

A bullet-proof jacket is meant to prevent you from getting killed. Doesn't mean that one goes and jumps in front of a bullet. It will still leave one injured from the impact.

I guess the guy finally learnt his lesson the hard way.

A 5 star is for peace of mind, one doesn't have to verify the rating.

Car has taken the impact very well, but the quoted article looks more like an paid advertisement.

Re: Tata Nexon Brutal Accident - Impact Detaches Engine

An engine flying out of its bay in one piece in an accident is unheard of, as far as I know. I can only imagine the kind of force required to break those heavy-duty engine mountings.

As many have said, a 5-Star rating isn't a licence to drive recklessly. Still happy that the driver survived with minor injuries, and kudos to TML for making such 'tanks' that the common man can afford.

So many monkeys behind the wheel now a days without any Driving skill or etiquette.

The pity is that they end up causing a lot of grief and loss to other road users.

Instead of mandating so much safety equipment, the Govt should invest more in driver training and enforcing road rules.
