We were giving him Gardinel ( Seizure Tablets ). These are very strong medicines.

Once started these cannot be stopped as they are connected with the brain functioning.

BUT please consult with a good Vet before giving any mdeicines. I am sure they will be plenty in Bangalore. There are very few good vets in Agra where I Live.

This illness is however quite common & serious so no carelessness. Please ask your GF to show the boxer to a vet immediately.

You mean Gardenal??? Thats a barbiturate!

Beware of vets dude! Most of them are plain morons/savages... or both! One of them recently killed a neighbours HEALTHY dog! ...Thats in a nutshell. He even had the cheek to press his demand for fees right over the dogs dead body!

They do that, and they know just how to pick a sucker!

She's lovely. Have you have had her neutered? Feline families can get very big quite quickly, unless one practices family planning!

Slightly off-topic --- but we dispatched my step-daughter's doggie to join her in Singapore yesterday evening. She is a sweet thing, and I was so sad to leave her sitting in her travel box, knowing that she would not even be on the plane for several hours. Glad to hear, today, that she is safely arrived in her new home.

I seriously didnt mind being a sucker in this case.

Guys I have read that chocolates and raisins are like poison for dogs. Chocolates it seems increase the heart beat rate and bigger quantities could lead to death. Ever since I read this stuff in TOI, I have never fed the above two items to my lab.
Could anyone put some light on this.
And those who feed their dogs with chocolates please don't pounce on me.
P.S.: Even the vet had asked me to not feed my lab with chocolates when we had just got him.
Regards

A different Bark !

Team-BHPians and their Pets-diffbark.jpg

Feels a little frustrating when the pup's asking you for something and you are not able to figure it out.

Feeding, water, chewies, a visit outside, all done. He didnt want to play either. Yet he was tugging my pant, asking for something - and inadvertently nicking me.

How do you figure out what's he trying to say ?

Hi,
We need suggestion/help for adopting a pet. We came to know 10 months old golden retriever is up for adoption. here are the facts:

(1) We live in a flat (Got good space(inside and outside of the flat though)
(2) 2 Year old daughter
(3) Both of us (me and wife) work which requires to be out of home from 8-6
(4) There is no one else at home from 8-6

With the above facts is it good to take the pet. Even if we take the pet any practical suggestions on how we can mange the pet between 8-6?

Thanks in advance for your valuable suggestions.
