Well done Alter, nice to see the boss of your house. Youre lucky to have him. Hope to see more pics

I saw the movie 'Marley & Me' last week. I was avoiding it all this long but finally saw it. I have never cried like this before . What a movie. Just brought back so many memories.

Well I am too happy to see such thread in team-bhp (today only read it)

Basically i am dog lover ,but mom is against it (as usual like other moms). When i was little boy i used to bring home kitten, puppies when i see them on road and after arguments i leave it at blue cross.

But right from childhood i used to have something or the other ;-)

Now i have a fawn color LAB and here comes the pics.....

*First 2 pics : The Day he entered the house
*2nd Pic: After Few months
*We did have a Cross Breed Pomeranian at the same time and she had given birth to 4 Puppies (Cross with Country dog and pomeranian)
* Final Pic is Lab after 1.5 years ! Now he is 2years old

Dear Dippy- Its impossible for someone who has owned a dog or a dog lover to not cry seeing Marley & Me. Ive never ever cried in a movie before.

Well that certainly is a moving movie for dog lovers in every sense. I suggest both of you to watch "Hatchiko", which was made based on a true story in Japan. I would be sure that any animal lover, especially dog lovers wouldn't be able to see the movie without feeling the emotions and pain. A must see movie. Also another movie is "Greyfirar's Bobby". A good movie.

@Alter_ego. Well done. people like you are required when people who leave their pets are still around.

I have a 9 month old boxer girl. This is my first pet, and I didnt know how great this breed is till I got one.

Highly energetic, loves being with people (even total strangers!), adores kids, very friendly with other dogs, and really clownish attitude that will make you smile everyday.

The only negative is their tendency to jump, especially onto unsuspecting guests! I am finding it very hard to train against the habit, but apparently its a very strong breed instinct. A really adorable breed.

Living happily alongside eeh? Talk to my neighbours and you would know.

They have got into "the" habit of building their territory and dare anyone enters it. 1 stays in the house and the other outside. Both don't let each other enter their region. Outside the house premises, they are wild chasing each and every animal (Thankfully they spare humans). I can't even think of taking them out for a walk together. They pull me like a twig tied to their leash. And am nothing which looks like a twig, height 5'9'' and weigh 83KGs

P.S - I don't believing in training animals. I let them live as they wish to, in a hygienic manner and don't disturb people around.

Do you think this will be a good Idea? My Dogs are not very friendly with other animals, so don't blame me later if our 'friendly' meet turns out to be something else

Yes . I saw Hutchi - A Dogs Story a day after Marley and Me. Another painful movie for me to watch. Its amazing how wonderful these creatures are. And to know that there are a few people who just abandon their dogs when they feel they dont need them anymore.

Dogs give that love which humans can never ever give you. Period.
