Great addition to your fleet. Congrats!!! Can you please post a pic of your two metal Emirates & KLM 777s together?

I have always liked KLM's Blue & White Livery - looks classy. The 747 looks brilliant in KLM livery and IMO KLM's 747s are the best looking 747s in the world.

Yes the KLM 747 looks great, thats the one I originally wanted to get but in diecast its way over budget.

Regn : 15+02
Airline : Luftwaffe

Elegant. The Germans often have a way of making a minimalist design and livery look regal. Denis Ranque will soon make you the ambassador of Airbus in India ...and Boeing will do the same for Foxbat!!

Your A320 with JRD is simply outstanding.

Looks best in white I have the same Hogan A319 in US Airways Livery. Hogan makes the best plastics model, Limox premium models are a close second but they have very few models. Now all you need is a A321, I see an Air Berlin one on DB jets.

Indian Airliners only remember? Before you fire a "Why a Luftwaffe A319 then?" tipped R-40, let me answer that this particular A319 is a military operated one, and for military aircraft I have no such airliner limitations.

1:200 Hogan P-3C Orion US Navy VP-45 "Pelicans"
The Lockheed P-3 Orion is a four-engine turboprop anti-submarine and maritime surveillance aircraft developed for the United States Navy and introduced in the 1960s. Lockheed based it on the L-188 Electra commercial airliner. The aircraft is easily distinguished from the Electra by its distinctive tail stinger or "MAD Boom", used for the magnetic detection of submarines.

Over the years, the aircraft has seen numerous design developments, most notably in its electronics packages. Numerous navies and air forces around the world continue to use the P-3 Orion, primarily for maritime patrol, reconnaissance, anti-surface warfare and anti-submarine warfare.A total of 757 P-3s have been built, and in 2012, it joined the handful of military aircraft including the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker, Lockheed C-130 Hercules and the Lockheed U-2 that have seen over 50 years of continuous use by the United States military. The P-8A Poseidon will eventually replace the U.S. Navy's remaining P-3C aircraft.

Patrol Squadron 45 (VP-45) "Pelicans" is a maritime patrol squadron of the United States Navy. The squadron was established on 1 November 1942 and is based at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, United States. The squadron transitioned to the P-3C in 1972. In 2016, VP-45 transitioned to the Boeing P-8A Poseidon MPA.

This P-3C is probably the most detailed Hogan model in my collection....just look at the antennas and markings details. It is just amazing. it is armed with two AGM-84 Harpoon ASMs and two AIM-9 Sidewinder IRMs on the wings.

The sculpting is a joy to behold. Great choice - a legend in every way. And a beautifully proportioned aircraft. How on earth did you land that photo of the same tail number of a military Orion!!

That is an exceptionally detailed model !
Is it really a plastic model? have not seen such accurate antennas on a plastic model yet.

Thank you!!! It looks great. Now to get a simular scaled Hornet or Tomcat to set it up as a fighter escort.

It is metal. In fact all hogan 1:200 scale military are metal(except C-17).

The antenna detailing on the HG P-3 rivals models from IF and JCW brands but the antennas feel a little fragile.

Type : Mil Mi-17 Hip
Air Arm : Slovakia Air Force
Squadron : 1st Helicopter Squadron
Serial No : 0844
Home Base: Prešov Air Base, Slovakia

The Mil Mi-17 (NATO reporting name: Hip) is a Russian helicopter in production at two factories in Kazan and Ulan-Ude. It is known as the Mi-8M series in Russian service. It is a medium twin-turbine transport helicopter. There are also armed gunship versions.

The designation Mi-17 is for export; Russian armed forces call it Mi-8MT. The Mi-17 can be recognized because it has the tail rotor on the port side instead of the starboard side, and dust shields in front of the engine intakes. Engine cowls are shorter than on the TV2-powered Mi-8, not extending as far over the cockpit, and an opening for a bleed air valve outlet is present forward of the exhaust.

Gorgeous looking model. I always have had a soft spot for all these maritime surveillance aircraft. The Dutch airforce has a long history of maritime surveillance, with various of these aircraft, including the Orion. I always particularly favoured the Orion predecessor the Neptune. Remarkable aircraft with propellor and jet engines!. I once had the pleasure of being allowed a short flight.

We also had a couple of French Brequest Atlantics. Not a big succes as I recall. The proved to be very unreliable and were often grounded for extensive periods of ime.

Remarkable if you consider that the Atlantic was a purpose designed and built Maritime patrol plane, rather then a modified version of an existing plane.

I didn't know that the Dutch Navy operated Atlantiques alongside the Orion....one of only three navies in the world to have operated these MPAs together (other ones being the German & Pakistani Navies)

There is good looking 1/200 Dutch Navy P-3 Orion from Inflight200 brand but its not as detailed as the Hogan model.

That is Hornet No.4 right? You will soon have a full squadron

Just wondering why you picked up this 1:144 Scale when the rest of your collection is in 1:72 scale?

Very interesting addition to your collection and very well detailed also. Where was this one sourced from? I read long back that in this configuration (six rocket launchers) the Mi-17 is the most heavily armed helicopter in the world.

That Mil Mi-17 looks very interesting. a unique piece what with the digital design camouflage. Lots of Hornets in your bonnet. At 1:72 the chopper must be quite large.
