With two other 787-8s in my collection.

The wing of a 787 is made of composites and can flex to an extraordinary extent. "In flight, all you will feel is less shaking due to gusts, because the wing will dampen load changes more effectively. The wing acting essentially like a giant leaf spring." I flew two days ago on a 787-9 and I did notice the flight was much smoother than other aircraft, I found out about this wing flex feature just today.

The two other models have the wing in the fully flexed state while the new diecast one has the wing in the neutral state.

Must admire his dedication and perseverance. Wow. If these are one model per aircraft then at 1600 he has virtually assembled all major and minor aircrafts ever built.

Those are very nice looking scale models. I especially like the Antonov and VC-10 and IL-62. The Air India livery is one from the 1960s I think.

Thanks for the information. Those are very big models you are collecting. Time for a giant cabinet!

That 787 looks fantastic. JC Wings model?
It looks the best among all the three 787s in your fleet. Congrats.

Hogan has demonstrated this extraordinary wing flex feature in its Air India (new colours) model too. In one of their Air India 787 models (in flight pose with stand, no regn), the wings are flexed upwards. On another AI 787 model(in ground, no stand, with VT- regn), the wings are in normal position.

Yes its a JC Wings model, the Air India 787 is a Hogan while the American Airlines 787 is a Herpa economy model (although better than Flight Miniatures economy models).

The wings can be only flexed when the aircraft is in flight (when there is a load on the wings). On the ground there is no load on the wings (weight of the fuselage is on the landing gear) hence all models with landing gear have wings in the neutral position like TUIfly.com 787-8 above.

re: Scale Models - Aircraft, Battle Tanks & Ships

How incredibly beautiful and regal the 707-420 is. I am already following in your footsteps on the IAF C-17 and will now shamelessly do on this Inflight200 707. Imitation is the best form of flattery!!! Can I trouble you to share photos of the underside - landing gear & engines. Congratulations on the 707 and the AIE 737.

I think this 707 is easily one of the best in your collection along with the Air India 747 with metal finish on the bottom. The older liveries were simple yet elegant. The stand is puzzling and sort of ruins the look when it is mounted.

I will have to wait for a bargain to procure an Air India 707

Thank you!! The underside is in bare metal finish just like the AI 747. Hope these will suffice. My camera was giving trouble focusing on the engines and the photos are not clear.

It sure is. It looks great when kept alongside the AI 747-237.

Models like these tend to get sold out very soon, You will be lucky if you find it on discount.

re: Scale Models - Aircraft, Battle Tanks & Ships

Many thanks Sandesh for taking the trouble. I was ordering models from an Australian collectibles site and this was available but I went for another aircraft which I had never seen in scale sales before. I am now tempted to go for the Air India 707.always seen good quality from Inflight200.

Your AI collection is a treat. I especially like the old Livery and the AIE modern sweeping livery. May your fleet grow.

I endorse what Foxbat wrote. Your Air India 747-200 simply rocks. Is it an Inflight200 make? Now you need to share close ups of the other 200 models you have. My wifey has been pushing back on my wanting another glass cabinet made at home for my aircraft models. So I should her your pics to make her understand how reasonable I am being. Keep the flow rolling.

re: Scale Models - Aircraft, Battle Tanks & Ships

I had just procured an Emirates 777-300ER (already had a plastic model of the same plane) a few weeks back and have a Thai 777-300ER that is yet to be delivered.

Hence it makes to no sense to buy another 777-300ER but I have no common sense

The colors are just beautiful and it reminds me of a life changing journey I took on KLM 22 years ago.

Very good quality. The new wavy line livery of KLM looks very nice. Emirates are concerned - you will soon have more 777s than them.
