Ahem... red face... Flipkart (surprise surprise) seem to save the card details whether you want them to or not, and yes, they do have mine.

In Other Flipkart News... I don't know since when, but they are accepting debit cards issued by non-Indian banks again. Oh dear, this makes it easier for me to spend money

Yes, agree about the FUP part - it just runs out quite fast when you start using Netflix regularly. If Amazon Prime starts here, same problem.

No. This status means that it is stuck at inbound mail. After this it would get a status of 'Send to customs' and once cleared 'receive from customs'

Re: The Online Shopping Thread

I wish to purchase shoes online from a site which allows easy returns in case the size/ fitting is improper.

Which site allows that for shoes?

Re: The Online Shopping Thread

Amazon.in works great wrt their returns policy

However pick an item that is "fulfilled by Amazon"

I had a great experience with Myntra. Ordered sandals for my daughter and it was just correct. Called Myntra and next day they sent me the next size and collected the previous delivered one. Amazing and no other site swaps it this way, in my (limited) experience...

Re: The Online Shopping Thread

Flipkar tell me that they have been trying to deliver to me for past two days. We have been in for almost all of that time excepting yesterday evening.

It is an unnecessary item, and I'm not that fussed about when it arrives, but it is a good thing this didn't happen with the new phone --- which they delivered a couple of days before the due date.

Yepme also allows easy returns for shoes, I've done it once and it was a smooth process

most likely an overloaded courier boy copping out from delivering lower value items on the busy weekend. very common across websites.

Re: The Online Shopping Thread

Yesterday, I was getting ready to go out by 5.30pm, when I got a message from Flipkart: Your blah is out for delivery by 7pm blah blah blah.

After I should have left, and long after I should have called a cab, I get a Flipkart We have rescheduled blah blah message.

I called the guy's number from the delivery message to say what is going on here? He said, I am on holiday, it will be tomorrow.

The item was not urgent. I feel sorry for the delivery guy having his day off disturbed, but the flipkart system really should work better than this!

(and yes, it arrived this morning)

Re: The Online Shopping Thread

Any idea why my parcel is acting drunk? Had ordered motion sensor LED from aliexpress, and China air mail tracking shows this. The parcel went from Xiamen to Beijing and is again back in Xiamen. I did send a message to the seller, waiting for his reply.

Re: The Online Shopping Thread

Failed some outbound customs clearance I guess. It'd come to Beijing to be shipped by air to Delhi (the only place in India Air China - which chinese airmail is carried on - flies)
