I am going to go out on a limb and say that most of us did not know what we were getting into on March 24th 2020.

More than a few times during this lockdown period, my mind has wandered onto the virtual shopping carts and wished that I clicked the buy button sooner. I wish I ordered that home-gym setup on Rentickle, or maybe closed the deal on a new mattress sooner. I was too late on the trigger for both and the orders had to be cancelled.

Wondering what will you guys loosening up your pockets for first after the lockdown ends?

I am going to buy a pair of hawai chappal. Seriously. Mine broke yesterday and I cannot walk barefeet at all

Next on the list:

- An air conditioner
- A pair of extra spectacles

Voted for furniture. Had barely missed out on buying two office chairs for the home-office setup. Missus and I are barely managing with a combination of different chairs at home.

PS: Had to buy a second TV for the living room but won't now. I will definitely go for a lamb lasagna once things normalize.

I have been contemplating to buy a large monitor (extended screen) for working from home. I should have bought it when the company directed everyone to work from home but when the lockdown was still not implemented.
Probably this is one thing I will buy immediately once the lockdown is removed.

Great idea for the thread, for me it will be 2-3 things:
1. Resistance bands/straps for working out - With gyms not being in the priority of establishments that will be opened anytime soon, I desperately need a good pair of resistance bands and straps, perhaps even a few dumbbells.
2. Chair - A good office chair, something like this.
3. Monitor - Lastly, a monitor. Not sure a wall mount is available for computer monitors but will hunt around.

Stuff required asap when shops and e commerce opens -
1. New AC for living room as old one isn't workable anymore.
2. 4k TV for parents room as the old one has multiple issues.
3. USB C cable for phone.
4. New mobile for mother in law.
5. Puma slippers. Old one broke and luckily I always keep a new pair in stock. Hate wearing sandals in house.
6. PS4 controller. Sadly, I broke my faithful one couple of days back so no gaming till lockdown ends.
These are urgent ones.
7. Couple of dumbells and some gym equipment for home. I really miss my workouts.

Was planning to buy a new car in April in place of Honda City but have postponed that for few months now. Same for mobile upgrade. Will see how working situation pans out and will think about these after July.

After the lockdown, I am planning for a good gaming graphics card/console.
A good monitor to connect my office Laptop.
Apart from this, I made a purchase just before the lockdown that has helped me a lot. ie.. philips multigroomer series trimmer (Now I don't have to go to any barber shop for haircuts ). My friends initially made fun of me, but now are asking me about the make & model.

Great thread. All those who can should make purchases even of the nice things to buy and not just must haves. All of us have a role to play in restarting or pushing our country's economy wheel. During this tough time everyone including the general public have done an exceptional job in managing the ongoing situation and in 1 years time our economy will be back in a good shape. At least I hope so.

Not looking to buy anything or do anything differently except two things -

1) Need a haircut but will wait out a little bit longer to further assess the situation.

2) Need to figure out the day care situation and how we'll manage that. Currently, with managing the kids + office work + domestic chores, had to be awake till pretty late in the night to peacefully do my work. Will have to work out some solution for this.

Actually nothing, Lockdown has made me realize how little we need. If at all I have to buy some thing, I would buy a piece of land in a relatively remote place so I can breath fresh air and live close to nature as much as possible. It is time we migrate out and decongest cities.
