Re: Citibank's exit from India

Did anyone get clarity on when we can login to axis portal?

Sadly missed the call due to a conflict.

Probably after 15th July.

Yesterday they sent the Customer ID on the email, using which we can register for net banking/Smartphone App banking. But still I could not register using the Customer ID for the online banking platform.

They keep saying this even in subsequent emails, but I don't have any such mail from Axis with Customer ID. Have drained my account with minimal amount for UPI. Let's see.

No clarity yet. Customer or account ID not yet received. Over the weekend looks like there will be an exposure where all Citi products will not work including UPI. The Axis "Open" app does not work! Looks like I have to register my mobile at an AXIS ATM! All of this must have been part of the migration and specifically over the weekend and up and ready on Monday! It's crazy and all over the place!!

Re: Citibank's exit from India

Yesterday I got the customer ID which is same as my previous AXIS account. So those who already have AXIS account the customer ID will remain same and new account will be added under that ID as per the mail.

Re: Citibank's exit from India

I had one Citi rewards card which I was expecting would be converted to Axis rewards card. In the axis mobile app today, to my surprise, I am able to see not one but two Axis Reward cards. Card number on one of them is matching with my old Citi card, but for the other one I have no clue. It appears to be someone else's card that is showing up under my account.

That's odd considering your mobile number is lined to the Bank account and Credit card on issue, there shouldn't be such a card, kindly get it checked with the bank as accounts are usually shown under a single customer ID.

Axis card specific discounts on apps like Swiggy are applicable now for Citibank converted cards.

Check email with subject line:
Important Communication : Your new Axis Bank Customer ID

I have received it twice, once on June 26th and then on July 5th.

Re: Citibank's exit from India

I am in real spot with this transition, being abroad it is very un-nerving as none of the channels to reach customer support is working. I tried registering to the axis portal but no luck.

Got an email saying the migration for my account to Axis is now complete. Snippets for those who may not have received the email, or unware of their customer id.

Re: Citibank's exit from India

I successfully logged into my mobile app

I then set up the internet banking and password and tried to log in but I got the message that I had not registered. Let things replicate and will try again.

I was able to successfully setup my Internet banking account and login on the website or even using the mobile browser, but unable to register the mobile app using my non-local number.

Oh well, one less app to bother with.

Re: Citibank's exit from India

Update - called them up, looks like some confusion between my old account and new. I need to pop into the branch and resolve.
