I registered in the mobile app first and logged in to the app after setting up PIN.

For Internet banking portal, I had to register again and setup the password, and then log in.

Same here. Both the mobile app and netbanking registrations went without a hitch. Overall, I am mighty impressed at how seamlessly the migration was handled; it cant have been easy.

Re: Citibank's exit from India

Question to folks here: I had an EMI ECS Mandate against my Citibank account from SBI. Do I need to make any requests/updates on the SBI end to ensure that the ECS continues without an issue post this migration? Or this is taken care by Axis?

There are so many communications from Axis that I could not quickly find an update on this. Hence asking here.

Re: Citibank's exit from India

My netbanking went though without a hitch. I usually dont use Mobile banking. So not bothered much. Good thing is that even my Payee/beneficiary list from Citi is available in Axis.

You will need to update the Payee/Beneficiary IFSC code in SBI. I also had a monthly transfer setup from HDFC to Citi that was rejected last week due to old IFSC code.

Re: Citibank's exit from India

I have both Axis Bank credit cards and Citibank credit cards. I have been using the Axis Open app for the cards and after migration, the citi card didn't show up. Though I got the emails around migration, I didn't get any update on the customer ID. So used the SMS option to get the customer ID and it turned out to be different customer ID for Axis Bank Cards and the citi migrated Axis card. As I saw in one of the previous message in the forum, that one member got an additional rewards card mapped to his account, got little scared. Reached out to Customer care, after IVR waited for 15 mins and lost patience. I went to Axis website and saw an option for Former Citibank customer, used that and logged in after sharing a few credentials and verification.

Now I have 2 separate login IDs one for Citi Card and other for Axis Bank cards (my mobile app shows only the Axis Bank cards). I may wait for a couple of days and reach out to customer care and see if these could be merged into one

My SBI EMI has been taken care by Axis. Earlier they had sent of list of things they take care and such things were included (things like insurance, home loan etc were in the list). Even my standing instruction for ICICI for SIP has been taken care by them.

Looks like their migration included creating new account (with same account number) and then transferring the amount to the new account !

Re: Citibank's exit from India

I just sent an SMS to the provided number, got the customer ID in a few seconds. Used it to register on the "Open" app, set the pin and was able to see the balance and payee details. Also re registered on phonepe and gpay. All working as expected!

Re: Citibank's exit from India

Since I had an AXIS account, I can see new account and credit card in net banking and Open app. Looks like the migration went well.

I placed a request to replace my credit card, I am assuming the new card will be AXIS branded. CITI Rewards card is now AXIS Rewards card. I am sad to finally say goodbye to CITI.

I have been with Citi since 27 years! I am really not sure if I will continue with AXIS for long. Will review and evaluate for sometime and then take a call! Will certainly miss the "ease-of-use" offered by Citi. Finally in these 27 years I may have visited the branch not more than 3 or 4 times!

Re: Citibank's exit from India

My Salary account got successfully migrated today with the existing Credit cards as well.

However, although the Salary account migrated to "Burgandy" salary account, the Debit card is changed to "Liberty" debit card. The card is same though (Citi branded).

I am hoping Axis will resend the Axis branded debit card soon to my address, and upgrade to Burgandy debit card as mentioned in one of their emails.

The process of Axis branded cards will start in August with the target completion by end 2024.

Please get this checked with SBI because Citibank's IFSC code has now been migrated to AXIS Bank's IFSC. I recently changed my credit card payment information for my Citibank credit card with the new Axis Bank IFSC code. So, better get it confirmed with the bank to avoid any form of penalty charges for ECS bounce.

The Asix bank mobile app allows you to upgrade your Citibank credit card to an Axis Bank credit card. Your current Citi bank card's features and reward points will remain unchanged after this upgradation

Thanks for the inputs. I got the FAQ document from the many mails Axis Bank sent and they have mentioned as below in the FAQ

Quote:
The bank is updating your IFSC centrally for all NACH mandates, standing instructions, insurance claims from Tata AIA, Aditya Birla and MaxLife, demat accounts, mutual fund folios and salary credits with erstwhile Citibank corporate partners. However, for all inward remittances, trading through brokerage apps (e.g. Zerodha, Groww), ITR portal for tax refunds, EPFO and insurance claims from non-Axis Bank partners, please update your
IFSC.
So looks like all central ECS bank to bank mandates are taken care off. I also noticed the IFSC was updated in Zerodha. Had to manually do it in the ITR portal.
