Couldn't help but post this. If you really want to taste chats, you should head towards the western side of India starting from Belgaum, Kolhapur...and all the way upto Mumbai. The taste is so yummy and unique, its hard to find the same in the southern cities. Its not to say that the tastes here are bad but they are definitely very different. People who have been tasting the Maharastrian style of chats may not appreciate the chats here specially in Bangalore. |

Great! Sounds like a plan! However, I hope Shahis is open during the end of Ramadhan/Eid. Last year, I'd gone there around the same time and it was closed for 3 straight days! :Shockked: |

Well, i have tasted the maharastrian chats(used to travel frequently on the b'lore - m'bai - b'lore stretch), but i still prefer what i get in b'lore. To each his own, for me any day it is what i get in b'lore. :thumbs up |

Been to Meenakshi tiffin room in Basavanagudi(DVG Road) last weekend for breakfast. What a splendid list of menu they have. The special Sagu Dosa and the regulars like Masala dosa, Idli, vada, Jamoon, Carrot halwa and kesaribath among which I liked the Sambar a lot. Last but not the least Coffee is a wonder too. Do try out! Anup |
