Agree, This kind of continuous light showers are really irritating.
My travel time to and from the office has increased by 50%

The low-lying areas always have this problem of flooding...Mysore road is one of them.
I read yesterday that some apartment blocks had their basements filled with water due to the showers. I pity those people whose cars have been water logged.

I was also reading yesterday in the news paper that the Gaali anjaneya teple on mysore road is again under water.
This temple gets submerged in water every year.
I was thinking that it must be renamed as Neeranjaneya temple
(people who don't understand kannada...gaali means air/wind and neeru means water)

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Gaali Anjaneya temple started getting under water since last year. Blame the bridge that was built over the storm drain. Its now closed on the surface from Mysore road towards Chord road for the most part. The construction debris have blocked the water movement and this is the result.

It might feel incredulous, but this does happen. I have done it a few times on my bike.
You just keep driving like hell and the rain keeps chasing you and falling at the places you have just left behind. Its amazing looking at the rear view mirror and watching rain starting to come down just behind you!!!
The effect is more pronounced on long stretches like the ORR.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Well, it has been a challenge travelling to office and back these last 2 to 3 days. Everyday I call 4 of my friends to see which route they took, and how the road conditions were.

Armed with Waze Navigation that indicates traffic density, I have tried to beat the traffice as much as possible. Still, my travel time has increased by about 25%.

Oh yeah I have experienced it too but only for a few minutes at the most and the rain almost always manages to catch up and drench me to the bone!!!

Rains from early morning today. 0800 still felt like 0600 all cloudy and dark.

The heavens have opened up here in Bangalore. It is raining cats and dogs! Why do the rain gods always choose weekends for draining out the skies?
