The bill came up to Rs. 1,250 for a complete service (of internals. Automatic watch), repair & pro-grade polishing. Looks like new!

Completely agree. Marcks and Co ( Fort) are great! They are always warm and welcoming and do a fantastic job.

1250 for a full service is pretty reasonable. But that depends on the brand of the watch. They normally charge me 12000 for the service of a Stainless steel Rolex and 18000 for the service of a Steel/Gold Rolex.

Was wearing an old Titan, and a Fast track for quite some time now. Decided its time for a change, and got this yesterday. cost me 6100/- INR. Its got a lot of chic features. Chrono/motion detecting LED light (turns on when u tilt ur hand), dual Stop watch, World time (50 countries). 100M water ressistant, temperature gauge (Farenheit and Celsius), lap memory (50 laps). some other stuff too which I don't remember. Haven't gone thru the user manual yet.

What's the opinion on Bulova and Invicta? I understand both are American companies: Bulova is made in Switzerland and Japan. I am planning to bring back a watch from the US for my dad. Budget around $500. Probably narrowing down on Tissot. I love watches but don't know too many brands beyond Breitling, Rolex, Rado, Tag, Tissot, Raymond Weil, Seiko, Longines, Omega, Patek. Out of these Tissot is probably the only one that's classy and in my pricepoint.
I'm open to suggestions. Looking for something classy: leather strap, not too busy on the dial, not very big, something that he could wear out to a dinner.
Will order it online. Have another 2-3 days to order.

Would be great to get some advice from the collectors on this forum. Please help me out here guys, thanks!

I use my phone to track time. Sometimes I feel like a fool when the phone runs down and decide that I need to go back to my watches.
I personally like an Old HMT that my dad used to use. You can kill a dog with hit. Yet, it is classy.

I have

- Casio databank - since school days ( touch wood working fine & use to wear it about few years back but now the plastic black strap looks a bit kiddish )
- Citizen - Metalic Strap
- Titan Golden Strap - some moon face model
- Tissot

ever since using mobile everything is locked now , so basically no watch

After a life long loyalty to Casio, I final bought a fancy watch. I should have cleaned the watch before shooting, noticed the dust only while post-processing.
