Superb shots Shan2nu.

Which lens did you use with your 1000d?

This lot is a combination of snaps from the Canon 1000D, Canon Powershot A400 and Pentax K1000.

I just got the cam a lil over a month ago, so still using the 18-55 lens that came with it.

Need to buy a 70-200 or 70-300 lens now.

@ torqueguru :

Amazing sharpness and depth. Were these shot in jpeg or raw? What cam and lens?

@shan2nu
Thanks. Nice stuff from your 1000D as well.

Those were all taken with a 50mm f1.8 lens on a Nikon D700.

These are from 24-120mm f3.5-5.6( which belongs to a friend).

@shan2nu, I must say you have an excellent eye for composition. In the right hands even a 100$ P&S camera is a formidable tool, and you have the very capable 1000D with you. Great shots again!

@TG, is it San Francisco? BTW you should have stopped down to F22 or something. I think this lens has 8 blades, and this means a brilliant star!

@TSK
I shot them at f25, will try f22 though I do not know if it will make a big difference. I am quite unfamiliar with this lens actually as it does not belong to me. My 28mm f2 manual focus lens has seven blades and they give these stars.
