Well, one thing I'm still not sure about is where are we all meeting? Since some wanted to meet at CRPF campus and while some wanted to meet somewhere near to the destination, I would suggest some other less crowded place. The road given in the photo below. This is just before the forest and hills start. Moreover this place is quite near to Mannanur. People can indulge in photoshoots or just enjoy the place till all people gather.

There will be a milestone which I believe says 90Kms (not very sure) to Srisailam, this can be an identification point for making a stop.

One interesting thing I have to share about this road is, whenever we went to Srisailam, we made it a point to stop on this road and shoot pics. In the last trip that we went, we didn't stop for saving on time as we were late. But I was forced to stop on this road while returning home, because somehow a flying bug made its way into the car through the left window and hit me right in the eye soon after we descended from the hill. Somehow I was able to control the car and stop it coz I was doing around 80Kmph.

That day I drove home with very heavy irritation and slight pain in my left eye. Since there was only one more lady who knew how to drive and I didn't trust her abilities much, I didn't give her the wheel. Moreover it got dark by the time we reached Dindi so it was all the more difficult to drive with one an a half eyes in the dark for another 80-90 kms but we reached home safe by God's grace! Since then I have developed this superstition that I should stop on this road.

But I'm not suggesting this road for this reason, I will anyways stop here no matter where we meet and how we go.

The first thing I scrolled down to was this and was obviously amused to find it listed as common. I feel "rare" is more appropriate.

Anyway lets all resolve that till such time that the Tiger sighting is a common event at NSTR we will continue to explore the sanctuary and also do whatever we can in our capacity to help creating such a situation

I do feel that groups such as ours should be a weekly affair at Srisailam. Tourism is a powerful tool and not only does it give the forest department much needed revenue it will also create much transparency on the state the reserve is in.

BTW the forest department has been allotted some fund which will apparently last them till April 15th for the purpose of clearing the waterholes and stocking them with water.

During our visit one of the things we need to assess and agree on with the forest department is ensuring water is provided for wild animals throughout summer.

If further funds are not released then we may need to pitch in as some of us agreed to earlier

Most probably i will be driving to Kalwakurthy on friday night. I will wait at Jaya Prakash Nagar tanda in the morning, and join the first vehicle that reaches there

May i know who is coming via new Airport road which starts from Gachibolli signal. I am coming from miyapur if anybody is also taking airport road we can meet at Gachibolli junction and start together. IMO: It's better to have atleast one car company to any car.
