Well even if you have to pay the 12.5k+ GST fees, you get 12.5k RPs which is valued at 1 RP = 1 INR and can be easily used for booking flights/hotels. So effectively you are paying only the GST & considering the high reward rate in Infinia its totally worth it.

P.S: While redeeming RPs I noticed a 99INR fees being deducted. I have regalia gold LTF & use it for all travel related bookings(hotels/flights/train). Is this redemption fee deducted for Infinia as well?

DCB and Infinia do not have this additional 99+GST on points redemption.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Well, I have the offer for last 1 year but am happy with Regalia Gold. Hardly any major benefits, if you consider the minimum spends. Same goes with my Imperia account. On must consider the details and compare with what you have currently. By the way, am a salary account holder for last 25 years.

Thanks for letting me know. I am still trying to understand all the benefits that I can use.

It is free for the first year. The renewal fee is 12.5k, but it will be waived if I spend 10 lakhs.

My previous Regalia card had a credit limit of 8 lakhs, and I spent almost 8 lakhs last financial year, not just in the last six months.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Usually there are travel cards and there are daily cards but rarely an all-rounder. For me, Infinia is that all-rounder (a two-in-one card), which can be used in any category. If I have to carry only one card and give up all other cards, I will choose to retain Infinia.

Almost everyone knows that Infinia has lot of travel benefits like smartbuy portal, Global Value Program, Best Lounge Access etc etc.

But what makes Infinia an all-rounder is the Gyftr vouchers via smartbuy portal. Gyftr vouchers virtually turns Infinia into a daily card for your groceries, clothing, electronics, Food delivery etc.

The accelerated points via smartbuy is capped at 15000 points per month (mostly equating to 16.67% cashback) but all other spends will still earn appreciable 3.33% cashback. The total reward cap of 2,00,000 points per month is beyond achievable for almost all of us.

There are other little perks of Infinia like
fuel surcharge waiver: Almost all cards advertise this benefit but Infinia will uniquely waive fuel surcharge for big transactions (upto 1,00,000) and there is no monthly cap on number of transactions or total spend in the fuel category. Ofcourse you don't earn any cashback on this category.

Swiggy Dineout: Infinia usually gives an additional 15% discount (upto 1000 per txn) on Swiggy Dinout. I think there is limit of 2 transactions per 6 months. Not a considerable benefit but still a little perk not offered by any other card!

Insurance: For Infinia, HDFC does not exclude Insurance from cashback. There is daily cap but still you can eek out small cashback from even these transactions.
There may be other benefits of Infinia like ITC or golf etc but I seldom use them.

Does Regalia Gold need minimum spends every QR to gain Lounge access? What is the number of lounge access per QR?

No such restrictions on Regalia gold for now. You have 12 domestic & 6 international lounge(via priority pass) access. And the access doesn’t have any quarterly restrictions either. Even your addon members can get the access with their individual addon cards(both primary & priority pass)

Which is the best 'value for money' business credit card for paying GST (sole proprietorship)? Any card offering cashback/points benefits? Thanks.

Does it meant that I need to apply for Priority Pass as well along with Regalia gold to get lounge access? And Priority pass has its own associated annual fees right?

You can speak to your RM. I can tell you what I did. Once I received the primary card, did a small transaction, called my RM & he raised request for 1 addon card and two priority passes (for primary & addon). Within a week had all of them delivered.

And no, priority pass issued to you as a regalia gold user doesn’t have separate fees(my card anyways is LTF). Just make sure you use it outside India only for those 6 times(within india it attracts 27$ fees)

Interesting. I have had a Preferred account with HDFC for 8 years and they have been after me to upgrade it to Imperia banking. I have been reluctant since the service levels have dropped. I have been after my RM for almost 4 months now and he keeps saying that it is by invitation. I am eligible and have the necessary spend on my LTF Regalia to qualify for Infinia. Still, no response after multiple follow ups.

Time to pester my RM again. Have a salary account with them for 15 years now and stuck on regalia gold LTF card. This is one card to do it all. Congrats
I got upgraded from Regalia to Infinia last year, I believe it's FYF if not Lifetime free since I have not been charged for an annual fee. I also started the upgrade conversation with my RM, and he collected the documents from my home, asked me to sign the application, and promised to get it approved within a week. But this is where all the fun ended, he rarely gets back to me and always has excuses.

Coincidentally there are a few automated emails that trigger from HDFC about the conversation we had with our RM or how helpful he is. I used those feedback emails to explain the issue and expressed my dissatisfaction without any filters. Looks like Bank managers monitored them and also affected the RM in some or the other way. The next morning I got a call from the Bank Manager and RM, who promised to expedite the process. Long story short, I have to again submit the same kind of feedback which gets things in motion and I got the card approved. The entire saga took around 2 months though.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

These guys are really targeting techies nowadays especially with CTC upwards of 40LPA which is not that uncommon nowadays even for freshers. When I joined Oracle,Our Salary accounts were with Axis and the Axis salesman met every new Recruit with request to get the premium CC from the first day itself. I,along with my 3 colleagues were offered Axis Mangus. I didn't know how he offered us the cards as we were opening the account with Axis for the first time(I guess CTC had a big role in it).
Man, do they know how to sale a card. We were told about unlimited Lounge access, Club memberships, Golf course membership, Forex mark up(I Don't even know what that is),Five star hotel compliment stays, Invites to various events, cashback, memberships to Fancy Gym, Online services etc and I did get one after paying 25 thousands incl. Joining fee.
After having it for 2 years, I have learned one thing for sure. Just because you have top tier income, don't get one. You need to have that sort of lifestyle to take full benefits of premium CC. As much I wanted a golf club membership, I never went into one.
I guess this is something I would want when I am in my 40's and will have similar friend circle where I can take full benefits of all amenities card has to offer. Not ideal for someone in his mid 20's.

Congrats! That's a great card.

I've been chasing the RMs for years now to get Infinia but no dice. I have had a Diners Black for 6-7 years (upgraded to Metal) with annual usage of 8-10L. I have an HDFC salary account for 14 years. Been in Imperia Banking for 3 years (was promised Infinia and locker - got neither). Had a large personal loan from HDFC that would be fully repaid in a couple of months. After my most recent attempt to get the upgrade I was pushed to open an FD.

At this point, I'm inclined to EXIT HDFC gradually while retaining Diners Black Metal till I find a reasonable replacement. Sadly, I am not aware of another product that offers the same value. The wait continues!

I am in the same boat. At one point of time my upgrade application was approved by their system. It reached a point where I received text message that the new card will be couriered soon. However I received an email later that the upgrade has been declined. I also approached savings bank account RM, but to no avail.

HDFC cards still has some of the best discount/ cash back offers on electronic goods purchases. So the card stays, albeit rarely used now. High spending on this card has not got me any upgrade, so I will patronise other cards more for now.
