This doesn't look like it's going to go away like the previous raids conducted by the DRI. Saw a small snippet in the newspaper that couple of SBK dealers here have shut shop.

Well insaneroller true who cares about the rains, but cleaning all that chrome after the ride can be a pain. Luckily its been a flop monsoon in mumbai. Also how does it matter what the bike was basically duty is approx 145% of the cost they decide at time of import of bike. Penalty is much later but they reduce it if you approcah them before they summon you.

manson the friend and me have both paid the RTO duty difference, saw a list of 203 bikes in rto west with duty difference and penalty calculations. Apparently cop cases registered against guys who havent approched to pay the RTO difference.

quickdraw/sachinwadhwani pm me with your cell number if you are serious about clearing your bike and want more details.

Just heard from someone that the DRI crackdown is happening only for post-2000 manufactured bikes, due to the revised duty structure put into place in '99.

Haven't heard of any DRI issues with old Gixxers/Kwackers/Blades.

Also heard that 400's, & early 600s & the likes aren't in the DRI net. Only the new "bling" bikes are.

Need to look deeper into this...

Also because the mass circumvention of rules began in a big away only after this period. And these bikes are easier to net I guess.

A friend of mine got his 2003 Gixxer 600, returned back to him. After quite a while though like 4 months.

Noticed this in AD on Bikez.biz.

gixxer k8 with laser exhaust . fancy number and many other superbikes available for sale only seriously interested buyers.duty paid bikes.. with bill of entry. and also few superbikes have been bought thorugh custom auction.

08 Suzuki GSX-R750 for Sale at Bikez Free Motorcycle Classifieds

This guy is claiming to have his hands on many other bikes (a dealer, of course), but the question is if the custom auctions have already begun in Bangalore already?

I was just about to post the same. This is not the only bike he claims to have.He has 3 more GSXR's and all are going at incredibly low prices.Dunno how far is this price genuine!!

The gixxer in black and red colour scheme is most definitely a repaint job.

That sounds so insane. Why are they charging such high duties?

Is this for real?
are duties paid on these?
seems like a scam to me

a 2008 Gixxer 750 for 425K is a steal
