Hi Guys,

It s been more than 2 years, since the Maha meet at Nagarahole happened with more than 22 cars joining in. We met after that but in small groups with small drives. So I was thinking if we can bring the magic again in a Team BHP Bangalore meet including a long drive, night halts, lots of fun and getting to know new faces and remembering old ones too.

Lets join in guys and discuss about the location and timings so that we can make it a great meet.

Some points

• Its a Family event so all are allowed
• Long drive should not be too long(may be 200-350km)
• If anyone has contacts in some great places, gearup to ask for discounts
• You can pull your non-bhpian friends too.

Sounds good, asdon. This would be my first t-bhp meet. So, I guess a mini-meet to discuss the places and dates, right?

Linger has a place coming up near by, but it's going to be tents all the way. It's not far, and hence we can get sufficient time there, and yet come back to catch up on our work.

Awesome, i am game whereever we want to go being weekend it should not be a problem. Count me in.

OT Q: Do we plan our own food or plan at places which have eatouts. Not sure as this would be my first tbhp meet.

Weekend of Jan 28/29 sounds good.

Suggest we do Chitradurga fort picnic? It is 190km from Bangalore, so the drive can be done in about 3-4 hours including breaks.

Thanks for the replies, well it has to be weekend only, but unfortunately I am tied up during 28/29 Jan, may be other BHPians also have other plans those who have not responded yet, so please keep it in Feb, and yes Chitradurga is a great option, about 3-4 hrs drive.

Chitradurga is a nice destination but i am having second thoughts as by Feb i guess it will become quite strenuous in Chitradurga heat why not someplace cooler (Like Munnar maybe).

Good idea to have mega meet. Last year also I missed due to some urgent work. I attended mega meet happened two years back. Unfortunately 28/29th I'm also busy.

Friend, please see if there is another weekend is suitable for us. Otherwise, I have to skip this year as well.

Can we have some Jungle option as well with one night stay over there?

Guys, as of now all options are open as far as location is concerned, I got calls from few BHPians, 28/29 seems over booked, so its going to be Feb.

@Anujmishra - Jungle option is open, but which one? Bandipur is too common, we did Nagarahole, so if you know some place where night halts possible with not too much hole in pocket, let us know.

About food, in all cases(day outing/ night halts) we should be arranging food at the place of visit not carrying along.

I dont think 28/29Jan would be possible for most BHPians since they would have already made plans.

I would be game for whenever it is, and probably the best way to start out my BHP meets is through a mega one!

Some of my friends do a weekend drives to Kolar, although as compared to the distances talked about here its quiet close but if we are planning a one day thingy then its probably right.

I can ask the hotel name where my friends go and stay overnight, its decent and in between some sort of jungle, as one of them is a wild life photographer and loves this place.

+1. 26th Jan (thursday) is a holiday on account of Republic Day so a leave on Friday would mean a nice four day long weekend.

I've made plans too and will be riding to a hill station. Might be able to join sometime in the coming weeks after this (exception to Feb 11th/12th, going to Kari with the ninja again).

How about Masinagudi for the location?
