Although during flash i lost all my saved data but no regret as this new version is awesome and can't be missed. so far i tested LANE GUIDE (prior to turn).

You can contact Mansur or Vijay Ananth. Both are equally good, Vijay was the guy who updated it in my vehicle

Thanks for the info Tushargohil. What are the other improvements? Is the location search improved a bit now? It is really painful to get the location pinpointed in my present version which probably has something to do with limited license. Even the POIs are not really a big help except major known spots. Hope this has also improved in addition to the increased functionalities.

Have you tried the live traffic? Is it accurate?

No mate; i could not find any live traffic settings in GPS neither got anything from Traffic Announcements (TA) feature.

our XUV 500..4 days after a comprehensive service...the silencer falls off! One has to crawl under the XUV..please note not the SUV..in heavy rain and tie it up with a shoe lace!!!..Thank God for an Engineer in the Family..No Thanks to Mahindra and their esteemed Dealer in Downtown Bangalore

Why am I not surprised? Comrehensive or not, M&M mechanics have a tunnel vision while servicing - they look ONLY at the problem that has been reported.

I had taken a snap when I got the oil changed at 1000kms. The car was raised on the fork-lift and signs of power-steering leakage were visible. Did the mechnic who changed the engine-oil noticed it or did anything about it? Nope!
Just imagine that this is for a part for which M&M later issued a recall. So the number of failures must have already been noticeable. Even then, they did not bother.

Silencer bracket giving up is a rare problem. I have seen just one reported on this thread. So not at all surprised that the service center guys did not look at it at all during the 'comprehensive' service.

I have the exact problem on the same rear right door. As of now it just wont open. I contacted my RM and he informed me that its a common problem that has been cropping up with many XUV's this monsoon. They need me to take an appointment and it will be rectified. Its very unnerving simply because if its such a common problem that has been identified then why is it that there is no attempt of a recall to rectify it. This is a dangerous situation to be in especially during flooding. As of now its one door but it shatters the faith in the mechanism when they openly admit that there is a problem. Ideally once a lot of complaints were registered they must contact all owners and advice for a check.
The attitude at the service centre is only getting worse by the day. During my last service they forgot to reset the service due indicator on the car. Its the first thing that pops up when we start, how can they miss it?

I have the same problem with rear right door. Now i have to take an appointment for sorting this out.

Will get it done once I am free in a few days.

03. Have you experienced the rigidity/ bumpiness more on sideways swaying than on front to back [i'm sorry if I sound confusing]. If that is the case, you can get the balancing rod bushes changed. I got them done, and they made quite a difference.

04. Have got it, and it makes a huge difference. HIDs are best in projector lamps.

05. Consider this before installing bullbars- a lot of the safety features of the car are based on the impact hitting it in a specific sequence. You may be messing around with the dynamics of a head on collision with a bull bar.

Just got my car back after 1st service and other jobs from NBS, their technical expert tells me that he checked with M&M on the driver's side window Auto Up function and the power saving feature which should switch off the front 2 cabin lights after 3 minutes, he says these functions do not exist and that this is an error in the owners manual.

specs- if I remember correctly 4200k
Low beam only. High beam is quite powerful.
Cost- I think around 9-10k.
I wasn't present when the fitment was done, so I don't know exactly, but I'm sure it does involve some wire cutting.

Feedback:
Have been using them for almost 10 months now, and am very happy with them.
Especially in the rains, and out on the highways- the illumination and throw is just too good.
