However, in some rare cases, I have heard some phones giving trouble connection to multiple Bluetooth devices even of different profiles, maybe due to some other issues related to that particular phone. What phone doe you have, by the way?

Maruti made their cars OBD compliant only after 2010. I tried using an elm 327 adapter with my 2008 Swift VDi without success. |

| ![]() ![]() Vgate iCar 3 Bluetooth OBDII OBD2 ELM327 iCar3 Bluetooth Diagnostic Interface For Android IOS PC http://s.aliexpress.com/eYrEJfeM (from AliExpress Android) So this arrived in 30 days and it connects to the Aspire just fine. I'm using the Torque Pro that came in the CD. Documentation says the unit switches off automatically after 30 minutes. Problem is that when I switch on the car next time, the unit does not automatically connect to Torque. But if I remove it from the OBD port and reattach it, it connects immediately. Who is the culprit here - OBD reader, OBD port or Torque? |

1. The OBD reader must switch on. Check if lights glow 2. Your mobile Bluetooth option should be on automatically. Generally Bluetooth comes ON when Torque is started but there is a setting for it. Check these.

Technically ICAR2 and ICAR3 are the same. Both are based on ARM chips. Both have auto sleep feature. ICAR 2 has a button and ICAR 3 does not have because of Auto ON Feature. Why order on Aliexpress when it is available on amazon in India. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Got a ELM327. Connected to my Manza. Seems to be working fine on Torque. Q: am I supposed to keep it plugged in all the time or only when I really wish to use it? If kept plugged in - it shows a red light. My concern is battery drain. |

If it's used regularly then nothing to worry if not then unplug it before the long parking period.
