It's on the throttle body, in front of you when you open the hood. 2 rubber pipes for coolant going in and out of it.

Is it the valve which opens up when the throttle is applied?
the butterfly valve?

Trust me, it might take you years not months to learn all that, its never ending, you will need to keep up learning always to keep pace with technology.
Can anyone point me to some good reference material, I have a lot of free time on my hands.

No, not the butterfly valve. Outside, but connected to the TB, in front of you.

cool, thanks.
and the IACV essentially bypasses the butterfly valve inside the throttle body to ensure that the engine Idles at the specified RPM?

The IACV will let more air through when the AC is on so that the Idling increases?

If i am lucky the car will start in 3-4 attempts otherwise have to hit the solenoid with something to start the car. What could be the cause of this. The solenoid i am using is the aftermarket one .Which is the original brand for Honda and where can i get it and for what price.I am totally fed as i have no confidence that whether my car will start or not .Plz give me solution...thanks

Correct. There's a movable plate inside the IACV which varies the amount air passing through.

My OHC is having starting trouble.
Battery is fine(lights + stereo everything works fine).Even replaced the battery and verified. Ignition lights comes up, but when I crank the car, it's not starting , just tak sound is comming. Car starts by PUSH Start. so what could be the issue ?
Starter motor ?? Flywheel ?

Well i was facing a similar issue on and off. Checking if the starter motor is working fine or not is not very difficult.

If the starter motor is fine then.....

Try cleaning the injectors, change the fuel filter and then check.

If the problem still remains it could be the fuel pump.

Oops ..don't gimme shock dude. That's the last thing I don't want to see, FUEL pump issue.
But if Fuel pump is the issue, how come push start woks perfectly.
I don't see any warning lights on. C.E.L is working perfectly fine(I can hear fuel pump supplying fuel, when the key is tuned on for ignition)

If there is too much kachra stuck it stops working and does not increase the rpm. It just needs a bit of cleaning a 5 min job. When you turn on the ac the load causes the rpm to drop which is usually compensated by this stepper motor.

Thanks guys

The car is due for service and I'm sending it in coming Saturday. I'm going to request a throttle body cleaning and AT oil change. Anything else in particular that I should look at? The car is right now at 69k kms.
