The Philips X-Treme Power bulbs are definetely brighter than OEM, but not something that you'd expect when they advertise 80% more. My take would be they emit possibly 20-30% more light than normal bulbs.

Would be nice to hear your feedback.
I agree with you. I feel its just 10% more in low beam and 20% more in high beam compared to my swift OEM lights. I seriously feel its not worth the money!

Any idea on how to check authenticity of the bulbs ?

I bought 90/100 Osrams bout 2 days back and the high beam is Kaput already . Paid 500 on Minister road for these. I didn't think that this place would rip me off even on bulbs , leave alone the poor chaps that go there for ICE.

If the Hyd Bhp'ians are reading this, lemme know the place to get proper bulbs else ill catch up after your movie meet and ask the same by testing each one of your vehicles

i first tried with the motor plaza for my swift top put on the rally 130/100 W bulbs, but they put some local relay onto my swift and after some 4 months it started showing some problems like headlight not turning off when switch off the light.Usually had to reconnect the relay to solve this problem. After that the 2 lights blow off.

Secondly i approached them for setting with a pmp relay and same series of rally 130/100,but they didn't have that on stock. So i decided to check the other store on pongumoodu beside the petrol pump, sorry forget the shop name. They had both in stock and their mechanics were good too.I would recommend them over motor plaza for this bulbs in trivandrum.(Has not been to car palace in kesavadasapuram yet.)

Hi all,
I need to upgrade my stock headlights of my WagonR Lxi as i find it difficult to drive during rains. Which are the lights should i go for which has the same wattage as stock but with better visibility during rains, without installing any relays(as i do not want to spoil my warranty )

Thanks,
Ramki.

Hi Guys,
I'm a newbie. and just wanted to know whether the warranty in a safari gets void if one replaces the Headlight bulbs with the Philips HID Xenon kit. The accesory shop claims it will not as there is no splicing of any wires, he claims are clipped on to the existing wires.

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Siddharth.

Hi guys
Got myself 90/130 bulbs yesterday. THey were installed with the "Hella" wiring kit. Not too sure if its the original or not but anyway. Box was Hella alongwith the plastic packing inside.
Anyway today I realised that if I flashed the lights they would stay on until I actually put the headlights on and then turned them off. What could this be due to?
Thanks in advance!

I have been using this for almost 6 months now on my Swift without any relay. Many night drives to Udupi with continuous use of high and low beam, no problems yet.

I have been using them extensively over the past one year. No problems thus far. Average usage is 2 hours a day with a one of night highway drive once in a while. I simply love the brilliant throw on the highway!

Cheers,

Yes, they definitely will be. Even if they aren't he will probably ask you to pick them up after a week. You can give him a call before you go there.

Philips bulbs for Indica Vista??

Dear All,

I'm planning to change the stock bulbs of my Indica Vista Aura to either Philips Extreme 80+ or Vision Plus H4. Whis is better? Please advise. From what I've read in our forums, looks like Extreme 80+ is a preferred choice.

Stock headlights are: two H1 55W for high beam AND two H7 55 W for low beam (info from Vista manual). So, I'd need to buy two H1's and two H7's. Correct?

Has anyone used Philips bulbs on an India Vista yet? If so, please post your experience. Any issues w.r.t reflectors etc... If not, I'll post it (with snaps) after I get the bulbs replaced.

Will I be able to get genuine Philips H1 and H7's from AK Traders, Bangalore? What can I expect as the per unit cost for a H1 and an H7?

Please advise. Thank you!!

Hi there

I've been using the Philips X-Treme Power H4 60/55w bulb in my Avenger 200 since about April 2008. No problems at all till now and I am quite satisfied with its performance. Much much better than the stock bulb that I had when I bought the bike. I bought the bike in March 2008 and swapped the bulb in April 2008. Have one spare set of the same to be fitted in our Santro too. Cost me 850 bucks here in Chennai for a pair.

Go for the Philips X-Treme Power 60/55w. It is really good and since it is of the same wattage, perfectly legal. Brightness and throw are excellent.

Same. Try and get the Philips X-Treme Power 60/55w bulbs. H4 is available for sure, but I am not sure about H1 and H7. Check out PowerBulbs - Car Bulbs, Headlight Bulbs, Xenon Bulbs from Philips and Osram, including Philips Xtreme Power and Osram NightBreaker globes. for more information on these. In case you can't get the bulbs locally you can order them online. They have free worldwide shipping.
