Hope you changed relays, wiring and holder. That's some serious wattage upgrade.

Good to see the difference with extreme vision - any idea about the life of these bulbs. I have heard that these have very short life?

Lifespan of the Philips X-treme power bulbs

Hi Path_Finder,

These bulbs do have a long life. You can find more details about them on the Philips website.

Cheers,

gpa

Mine was in a red pack, but I see a blue packing every time I search for this in Web. I was worried about the authenticity until I fixed them. Now I am almost convinced that they are genuine.
I can manage with this until I upgrade to HID next year
Hi sj_koova,
I think in this upgrade you don't need to change relays, wiring and holder. I was also planning to go for it. after seeing the comparisons. Nice photo

No relays required. I got it changed it the service centre, but if your car is out of warranty, you can do it yourself.
Just need to make sure that you buy the appropriate type of lamp. Mine was H4 type.
If you buy it at shop, it is Rs-660/- for a pair

Check the type of bulb on your car

Hi,

Check by peering into the headlamp clear lens and look for the marking on the steel base of the bulb. There it will state what type of bulb is it (H4 or H7). Another option is for you to check the spare bulb pack that came with your car as the type of bulb will be mentioned there.

For this upgrade, you won't have to change any wiring or relays and your warranty will stay intact. So no worries on that front as well. I changed these bulbs on my car (Alto H4) this morning and will be posting a review of them here once I get a chance to test them.

Cheers,

gpa

Also search in car's manual. It is usually mentioned in the car manual.

SX4 is H4 and fogs are H7 or H8. Apparently, they can be used interchangeably (??)

@sj_koova: Can you tell me from which shop in Bangalore I can get the xtreme power bulbs?
I'll be leaving to Trivandrum on Sunday night. It would be great if I can get it replaced before that.
I'm really unsatisfied with my current Crystal Vision bulbs.
