@bottle and finney: for palio i think you will have to get separate bulbs for high and low. Madbull has used H4 which has both high and low beam.

what does this H1 to H7 stand for. Is it about the output or about the design.

H1/H3/H4 etc., are bulb type or design.

Indica yes, since OE is also 55/60.
Zeus no, since the OE lamps will be around 35 w rating and these are 55/60.

Thank you jaggu, the first thing I am going to change in my indica after its return is to go in for these. (currently the car is at farm house).

well, i understand from the posts in this thread that Phillips vision plus bulbs are better-of than the stock ones even at the same power. (or am i missing something here)

In that case can I find 35W rating in the phillips range which is better than the stock bulb on my zeus.

DO not put 60/55W in your bike unless you are sure the wiring can take the load. Otherwise you will get lesser light.
The bulbs are rated 10//90, 60/55 etc., at 14 Volts in some cases and at 12V in others.
If you get lower voltage, i.e. 11 volts for a 12V bulb light output will drop by 20%

Tanveer, so you're saying that Phillips or Osram H4 can be fitted on the Dicor without any additional relay - and it would make a major difference in illumination right?

If so, which of them is freely available, where and at what cost?

Suman, Osram Silverstar +50 and Vision + from philips, bith 60/55W are easily available in Ludhiana.
But in case of Noida, I could see only Vision+.
Noida Vision+ stock is mostly Fake bulbs, so you better go to the distributor listed in the Auto Lighting thread at CP.
Check out speedonline post.

Firebird, after going thru this thread, I went & checked my Palio User Manual to understand the bulb types used in Palio.

The User Manual states: H1 for Main lights and H7 for Dipped light.

Now, the question is - Is Main light the Normal/Low beam lights?
And is Dipped light the High beam lights?
Experts, please help?

hey finney thanks for that couldnt find the manual.. now this was in the faq for vision plus

1. Can I exchange my current headlamps against a pair of Philips VisionPlus?
Yes of course. Philips VisionPlus exist in H4 and H7. If your car is currently equipped with H4 or H7 bulbs, just replace the existing ones against a pair of VisionPlus. If your car is currently equipped with H1, a direct exchange against VisionPlus is not possible at this point in time, but you might like to try the Philips BlueVision or the Philips Premium.
so vision plus is out for main light ? :(

Thanks but no relays required and a huge difference over what's fitted currently?
