You're the first on this forum with the "new" vRS I guess. Brilliant car. Awaiting pics.

That I am. For any other people buying the vRS it comes with DRLs switched off. To enable, put the key in and turn on the ignition, then pull the indicator stalk towards you and while keeping it there push it up and keep it there till you hear a beep. Then the DRLs are on and as bright as the C/E class ones. This procedure has to be done within 3 seconds of turning on the ignition.

Yup looks like I'm the first. Expect a review with lots of pics, by end of next week.

EDIT - Thanks anshuman - Yes the procedure is the same for all variants besides L&K, which has maxidot. But the DRLs should be enabled through VAG-COM first, and I think they come enabled from the factory only on the RS as of now.

^^ The procedure to activate DRL is same for all variants
(if DRL activated through VAG for other variants).

BTW Congratulations for the vRS! Expecting a report soon.

Re: Skoda Laura vRS : Test Drive & Review

Another little thing to correct from the review, the sunroof does open fully. After what seems like the max the knob turns to, twist it a bit past the resistance point and hold it there till the sunroof opens fully.

I read the manual and figured out, sue me

Yes this has been the case with Fabia elegance and Laura model too. The glass goes completely in however I found the overall size wee bit smaller than the one in fabia.

Am waiting patiently for my White vRS. Should arrive this week...that's what the dealer has promised.

It was an agonizing wait. But a what relief yesterday when the dealer called late in the evening to break the good news. My White vRS has arrived.

Re: Skoda Laura vRS : Test Drive & Review

My vRS came home last evening.

It was immediately pressed into airport pickup duty right off the showroom floor. What a drive it was.

As I switched her off for the night, odo reading stood at 117kms.

Congratulations! I have been reading your comments on various threads but still not able to find your ownership thread. Eagerly awaiting the report. Till date I have seen only one yellow VRS in Goa.

Hi there,
You are right on both counts, about my ownership thread as well as the yellow vRS in Goa.

There is one black vRS too, but its very sparingly used since its owner is a NRI.

My white vRS is exactly a week old as of today, so a ownership report will be some time away. There is lo-oooots of stuff I have in mind for it

Total of three. Different colours. In GOA.

Now if someone could bring in the last remaining blue, it would round of all the colours that Skoda offers us Indians

Re: Skoda Laura vRS : Test Drive & Review

I am guessing this should be the fastest car under 16 L in India. How does it compare to the TJet in the 0 to 100 timing ?

Under 16l? Where? On road it comes to about 19 in Mumbai. Tjet is a segment lower, and about 2 seconds slower to the ton as compared to this.
