Diesel NVH is irritating on the long run...
I still feel that my clutch is little hard and so as with the gear rod...

It is not a problem in highways but in city driving conditions, my left leg have developed an extra muscle than my right leg...

My friend says that the clutch ply would be loosen up after 5000 kms... My amaze has clocked 4000 in 2 months... still it's hard to change the gears...

Is this an issue? Have any one else experienced this?

A stiff clutch, that too on a Honda is suspicious. At the next service bring it up, and ask them to check it out. Honda transmissions are well behaved a buttery smooth. By and large the Japanese have great transmissions.

My clutch is quite light and I do city driving most of the time. My father felt gear to be hard but i don't feel it!

Info to all members
My friend had got an entire faulty transmission in his Amaze. The whole transmission was changed (Costs around Rs 1.9L but Honda paid it). So if any of you feels that gear is getting seriously stuck you should get the car checked.

Was it a diesel or petrol?
Did he face problems from day 1 ?
What were the symptoms?

Diesel
Not from day one. He has long runs eveyday (6k in 3 months). He started noticing gear was getting stuck. Initially SA said it was a gear lock problem but problem persisted so Honda engineers looked after it and found the problem.
The showroom was supportive and he was happy with the experience!

Good that Honda took the ownership and replaced it without any fuzz.

Got my Amaze Waxoyled. Opulent India staff is very cordial and efficient. I had a wonderful experience. Small scratches just vanished and the car surface looks silky smooth now.

Hi roy...
How much does it costs?
Is it better than the 3M waxoyling?

Get your clutch bled, might be air in the system. A 10 minute job, Any honda service station will do it in a jiffy

It cost me 2812 bucks all inclusive. With one year warranty. Opulent is quite transparent.
Yeah, I think Waxoyl is better. I did 3M on my Santro earlier and was not happy. It had cost me more as well.
You may refer to another thread in the TBHP forum itself, comparing various polishing methods including 3M.

re: Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)

Today while watching the Earth Dreams 1.5L i-Dtec video I could take a screen grab of the Power & Torque Vs RPM curve. Look how flat is the peak torque of 200 Nm over the wide rpm range (from 1500 rpm to 3500 rpm). I guess no other car except Innova comes close. Innova has the same peak torque of 200 Nm over an rpm range from 1400 to 3400. No doubt Amaze has excellent driveability. However the Amaze weighs a lot less (more than 500 kilos) as compared to Innova.

re: Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)

Drove a 900KM done 1 week old Amaze Diesel today. I didn't feel the NVH was that bad. It is not as quiet as the Swift, but its not unacceptable. I kept it under 2K all the time. Loved the drivability of the engine. Though I felt the AC was just average.

And I didn't like the brakes either. It was very poor. Don't know if it was a problem with the car I drove. Have asked to get it checked by Honda during the first service.

Its not about willing to do the touch up or not Shwetanshu...
If you are ready to pay, then you have to demand them.
This is one of the problems in India.
I have seen Indian customers requesting and also begging the dealers to get a service or a product...
We should be professional in dealing with the service managers...
Ask them how much does this little touch up for the bumper costs? If you feel that their price is higher than other showrooms , inform them and demand a discount or just send an e-mail to Honda...
After all, Customer is the king!!! my friend...
Nowadays, car showrooms literally cheat people due to the rising competition...
A friend of mine got an used (450km) Amaze... He only got a proper reply once he threatened the manager about sending an e-mail to Honda...
