They're offering me a White Car too, but I've turned it down. Looking for dealers who can offer me the best deal with a Black Palio. Prerana says that won't get any Black Palio anymore.

The sales guy from Manipal came over to my office with a White SDX for a Test Drive. This was the first time a test drove a SDX, all other test drive vehicles were SDE models. Also, doesn't look like this was an unsuspecting customer's car. The Speedometer was actually functioning & the car had already run 405 Kms. Also, it had a Temp registration on it.

Getting back to the topic, The guy is ready to deliver a Black Colored SDX however he says the minimum wait will be 1 month, max 45 days. I mentioned that I want a Black only & that last minute when they receive their load they should not say that they have stopped Black & try to pass on some other color to me, he said he's ready to write & give that he will deliver a Black SDX. Then he made some calls & confirmed again, saying Black is being discontinued in Indica, not Palio (I don't buy that statement, however if I go with Manipal, before I cancel my booking with Prerana, I will take it in writing from them that they will deliver a Black car to me, Blue being the second option).

Now came the negotiations part & the accessories he's agreed to give are: Autocop Remote Locking, Fabric Seat Covers, Garware Sun Film (I got that upgraded to 3M, will pay the 1.5k difference, have to find out actual prices of 3M however, he said Garware is about 1.5k & 3M about 3k, is that true?), Floor & Boot mats, mudflaps, idol & perfume.

@Dud_Dodo please confirm again with other dealers, Manipal giving in writing won't matter at all because they can always find a new buyer for their car if you don't want it when they get it. But you will end up with another months wait for a non-black car.
I somehow feel that he is just trying to get a booking.

That is what I am a little worried about. Don't feel like calling the sales guys I'd dealt with earlier at Concorde. Does anybody have any other contacts at Concorde?

Why would a company stop producing black when it looks simply rocking? Also, what about those who had bought it in that color earlier?

Dodo, even I can't understand why Fiat should stop the best selling Black color, just try to confirm the same with Tata-Fiat Customer Service Manager (Rahul Jadhav, email: rahul.jadhav@tatamotors.com) and Fiat Sales: jaldeep.virani@tatamotors.com.

Spoke to Concorde. They said that the Black will be discontinued & they will be introducing a new shade of Black, a little lighter shade I guess.

hmm, I ll also say try calling up Sandeep looking at the beigger picture.
You need a Black SDX ,Goodies are secondary Things which can be added.
Check with Him ,IF there is a option of black he will tell you.

I checked with Dhingra and Vivek in Delhi.
They are offering black SDX. Much less waiting. But too far away for you to utilize

I just spoke to Concorde guys there are four carbon black SDX with them. One of them is booked for me. You might want to call up Biju and speak to him in case you are particular about the black colour.

Thanks for the lead Sridhar. Could you PM me Biju's direct number? Everytime I call Concorde, I end up speaking only to this one guy named Merbin, he seems to be new there, never has all the information.
